Roster movement in football isn't just unique to the professional and collegiate levels. Each year, there are notable top prospects in Georgia moving to different areas of the state. Here are a few prospects playing at other schools that you may have missed.

[player_tooltip player_id='220733' first='KingJoseph' last='Edwards'] - 2024 - EDGE/DE - Mill Creek

Moving from Buford to Mill Creek, Edwards headlines what should be another state championship-contending Mill Creek team. Edwards has solidified himself as one of the best players in Georgia. At 6'5 245, Edwards already has SEC-caliber measurables and looks like he has even more room to fill out his frame. Edwards is a great athlete that moves around the field effortlessly. However, he is also very disciplined in his pursuit and is versatile enough to play attached to the line, on the defensive front, and even drop back into coverage and hold his own in pass coverage. Edwards will be a high-profile recruit regardless of where he plays and will yet again be a force during the 2023 season and beyond.

[player_tooltip player_id='321445' first='Zion' last='Ferguson'] - 2024 - CB - Gainesville

Making the jump up highway 365 to Gainesville, [player_tooltip player_id='321445' first='Zion' last='Ferguson'] will give coach Josh Niblett and the Red Elephants some serious star power in their secondary for the 2023 season. Ferguson, an LSU commit, is one of the most well-rounded DB prospects in the entire state. He has a long 6'1 frame and looks like he has added some more mass since the 2022 season ended. Ferguson does an excellent job of finding the ball in the air and shows good ball skills when he makes a play on the receiver. He has great speed and is a physical, downhill tackler. He is also a high-energy player, showing good recovery skills and the ability to chase down breakaway ball carriers from across the field. With Ferguson on roster, Gainesville will yet again be a team that you have to see to believe.

[player_tooltip player_id='321476' first='Nick' last='Brooks'] - 2025 - OL - Buford

When all is said and done, [player_tooltip player_id='321476' first='Nick' last='Brooks'] will likely be one of the best overall players in the 2025 class regardless of position. For the past year, Brooks has been a steady riser on the recruiting trail. The monster 6'8 335 prospect is a rare combination of massive size and elite body control. He is very well-developed for his age and will only continue to improve on his technique over the next few years. Now at Buford, Brooks will grow into a ca n't-miss prospect nationally. Whoever lands Brooks is getting a 3-4 year contributor on the offensive line that likely has NFL upside. Brooks is a rare talent, so enjoy watching him as a youngster

[player_tooltip player_id='339650' first='Caleb' last='Bell'] - 2025 - DL - Milton

Bell is one of the most explosive prospects I have seen in person. He was one of the more productive pass rushers in the state during 2022, and will look to do it again at a higher level in 2023. Bell has completely transformed his body since arriving on the high school scene. Now, Bell stands at a firm 6'3 245 and should start receiving some P5 buzz here very soon. His explosiveness off the snap paired with his feisty and aggressive hands makes him incredibly difficult to go up against. Bell is one of my early breakout picks for the 2023 season and I believe he will be a name to know nationally when his time at Milton is over.
