For those who are not aware this District had four teams reach the state playoffs and the Patriot Pioneers losing in the Regional Finals to eventual champion Freedom High School. Below is part 3 of the rising juniors in the Cedar Run District:
Grant Hillebrand
Grant Hillebrand
Hillebrand covers the entire field at his safety position and has a tremendous nose for the football. The Eagles line him up in the box and in the secondary hence why I have him listed as an athlete. He is the type of safety that is great at reading the quarterbacks eyes and one mistake he will make you pay. Hillebrand is a good little scat back for Freedom and I would anticipate his role to grow offensively for 2023. Check out his highlight tape below the kid is always around the football.

Abdullah Sabri
Abdullah Sabri
Standing at 6’2 and close to 300 lbs. watching Sabri pull on some his lead blocks can be a nightmare for defenders to take on. With his size, length, and solid speed there is a ton amount of upside for Sabri that he just scratching the surface on. Once his upper body develops, I believe you will see him playing division 2 or FCS level football.

Chris Binet Jr.
Chris Binet Jr.
Only appearing in 5 games last season Binet still had an impact for the Eagles. A speedy slot receiver who may lead the league in Special teams’ touchdowns in 2023. Binet makes the most of his 4.5 40 speed every time he touches the ball, do not be surprised to see a highlight reel kickoff return from him this year. Binet also lines up at corner with Osborn High School, he is tough for receivers to get a release off the line of scrimmage and his makeup speed is nothing to be frowned upon either.

Matthew Brown
Matthew Brown
Brown is a speedy physical running back that returns for Osborn Park in 2023. While he will be a weapon offensively for the Yellowjackets he is a major difference maker in the secondary. He has a great break on the football watching his tape, you cannot throw a bad ball against him or chances are it will be picked off. Major speed for this young man with a 4.5 40 under his belt, he can play either division 3 or division 2 football.

I tell you what I like the Yellowjackets chances for a rebound next year and Welch is another reason why. Welch excels at both defensive end and tight end I would like to see him add some muscle in 2023 as he is 6’2 but weighs in at 216 lbs. That is something he can gain on his own, right now he is fast/lengthy defensive end making him difficult to block. His football IQ stands out on his tape, watching how he read and reacts every play is impressive.
