Banks is a yards after catch monster. His well-rounded skillset allows him to attacks the defense’s weaknesses in several ways. His skillset is lead by his quickness. He’s fleet-footed on slant and seam routes and loves going inside while lined up on the edge. He also has enough strength to enforce his routes and withstand press coverage, and also can go up and make a nice aggressive catch in traffic if he doesn’t beat the defender deep. He’s tough to bring down after the catch with stiff arms and leg strength. He’s a natural runner who can get himself angles and hit them for a big crease after the catch. He has good ball-tracking skills and creates separation well. He should be an even bigger focal point for Franklin this year and could receive offers in the next year.
Engman was named 2nd-Team All-League as a Junior last year. He’s a route technician and can adjust with his good ball skills to shield defenders from his high-pointed window. He’s shifty in the open field and aggressive with his hands and pads. He utilizes all of his power with his possession style and can be a nasty run blocker, opening himself up to more concepts. He naturally takes advantage of as big of a catch radius as possible, but can time routes and keep his stride. He has big and powerful hands and feet. He’ll be an exciting senior prospect this fall after missing nearly half of last season due to injury.
Guy is a stocky receiver with powerful legs. He runs crisp routes and gets more dangerous in the open-field with a great ability to generate YAC. His quick feet and fluid hips work well on stop and gos and he can make explosive cuts and speed changes. He can play any DB spot and brings his aggression out on tape. He likes to go inside on man coverage, where he’s strong enough to shield his route for a quick slant. It’ll be interesting to see how his uniquely bruising skillset can be used by Chief Sealth as he features as the number one target this year. His sharpness to execute good concepts and YAC potential make his situation primed for a breakout year.
Highlights
Mwamba possesses the game-breaking track speed and hip mobility to be a deadly punt returner, and it will be exciting to see him return kicks for Rainier Beach. He darts around the field in his routes with leverage and his feet can change directions and change speeds quickly. He had great chemistry with Senior QB Chance Guadiz Chance Guadiz 6’1″ | 200 lbs | QB Rainier Beach | 2023 State WA as just a freshman, and learned to haul in over the shoulder passes while keeping his rapid stride. He is still gaining arm strength and will have an easier time creating separation as he does. He could still be growing, but played big his first year and looks to be one of the fastest players on every field as a sophomore.
Kane is the powerful run blocker Blanchet needs for their run-first scheme. He can be a sharp route runner with timing, but he doesn’t get tired of the dirty work and embraces the blocking WR role that pro teams value highly. He’s tough to bring down, and has the flexibility to torque himself mid-air when leaping for it. He understands his concepts and times them well, and can adjust in the middle to find holes in zone coverage. His football-IQ and role could help him stand out in a scary Blanchet offense next year.
