Who are they? Let’s take a look…
Dylan Williams Dylan Williams 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Roswell | 2024 State GA – Roswell
An under the radar wideout in 6A, Williams enters the 2024 Prep Redzone Rankings after a strong junior season where he helped lead the Hornets to a giant 2022 season and a deep playoff run. At 6-foot-2 190-pounds, Williams is a big target and an important vertical weapon down the field. He displays great body control in the air and can contort himself to bee in a better position to catch the football. He shows promising ball skills and has a knack for getting behind defenses in single coverage. Now ranked as the No. 191 prospect in Georgia, Williams caught 29 passes last year for 474 yards and seven touchdowns. He was a big-play threat every time he touched the ball and should have an even bigger role in the Hornets offense as a senior in 2023.
Chase Tyler Chase Tyler 6'4" | 175 lbs | WR Hiram | 2024 State GA – ATH – Hiram
An outstanding prospect on the rise that can make plays on both sides of the ball, Tyler is a multi-sport star and one of the top up and coming athletes in West Georgia for the 2024 class. His recruitment has taken off this year, adding offers from USC, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, North Carolina, among others. The Hiram Hornet standout has plenty of size at 6-foot-4 175-pounds and college programs across the country are starting to notice his potential after a giant junior season. His stature and promising frame is easy to notice, and so is his ability to make a play on the football. Whether he’s a receiver or a defensive back, if the ball is in the air, Tyler has no problem making a play on it. He flashed D1 potential all season long and the offers are starting to head his way in bunches. As a receiver last year, Tyler caught just 24 passes but took them for 402 yards and six touchdowns. He’s now ranked as the No. 72 player in the state and the No. 10 ATH according to the latest update.
Elijah Mcdowell Elijah Mcdowell 6'3" | 175 lbs | WR South Gwinnett | 2024 State GA – South Gwinnett
A dependable up and coming receiver in Gwinnett County, Mcdowell has impressive size and a promising frame at 6-foot-3 175-pounds who knows how to reel in the football. A good route-runner for a longer, possession receiver, Mcdowell shows good body control with reliable hands down the field, making it easy to include him in the latest 2024 Prep Redzone rankings. He can create separation on his own and is an easy target to throw too when he’s open down the field. Sn important threat down the field, the Comet playmaker knows how to high-point the football, allowing him to make a tough catch over smaller defenders. He’s put together physically, and while he didn’t exactly light up the stat sheet last year as a junior, it’s easy to see why D1 offers are starting to come his way. The smooth wideout has recently earned an offer from the in-state Georgia Southern Eagles and could see more head his way soon. He could be real threat next season in the passing game with a chance to easily fly by his 19 catches and 269 yards and three touchdowns from last year. He’s now ranked as the No. 208 player in Georgia according to the latest rankings update.
If you’re looking for a more underrated receiver in Cobb County, Harrison’s Brady Klue might be your guy. A big target at 6-foot-3 185-pounds, Kluse is a reliable option from anywhere on the field due to his impressive route-running, quickness, and strong hands. Whilee he knows how to create separation on his own, Kluse also knows how to bring in a tough catch in traffic. He also has a knack for eluding defenders down the field with enough burst to fly upfield for positive yards. He understands his role, shows toughness, and quick feet that allows him to make defenders miss in space. One of the more productive receivers in the area, Kluse is one of the leading returning wideouts across the state, catching 66 passes as a junior last year for 10,33 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was a go-to option last season, going over the 100-yard mark five times last year. His best game came early in the season against South Forsyth where he caught 9 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns. He’s now ranked as the No. 204 prospect in Georgia and the No. 27 WR prospect.
