Nate’s Iowa Community Film Room: Part I

This list ranges from small school athletes that are developing as two-way prospects, probable Division I QBs, and small town prospects that just exceed expectations when it comes to their work ethic. He also shows off a good finish with his stamina when takes it the distance. He has some raw yet instinctive footwork that will only grow with time with two more years under his belt at the varsity level for North Scott. On the defensive side of the ball, Cole shows off some athletic ability with his crossover run and has good ball-tracking ability in his plethora with that footwork of his. He also owns his athletic balance as a DB prospect especially when you watch his tape on intermediate routes. Kye sticks out early on tape with his instincts and read steps he creates at defensive back of knowing where the football is with his vision. As a wide receiver, Kye will need to develop his route creativity in the coming years, but yet again he passes my eye test with his developing agility in his long framed body to gather his share of yards after the catch. He shows off some growing speed from the top of his route with his route-running on his JV tape. Kye also shows off a good lengthy stretch in his upper body to get up and over the WR in the secondary. William also does a great job at defensive tackle with how much excellent leverage he can get with his pad level heading downhill and has the athletic ability to run his course into the backfield. I also love the range William can cover with his 6'4 270 pound frame defensively, as he's a DT prospect that will presume well outside the inside box to go get the ball carrier in pursuit. I am quite surprised with all the versatility William has on both sides of the ball for Waukee, that he doesn't have an offer yet as there is plenty Division I level ability in all of his skillsets in my eyes. Graham's ability to thread the needle on all three levels of the field with advanced precision and mobility shed highly in my eyes with this QB prospect out of Iowa City Liberty. Another skillset I loved about Graham's tape is when he uses his mobility to get out of the pocket, he still shows off enhanced poise through his progressions and excellent footwork to not take anything off his stellar arm strength and accuracy. I also like Graham's instinctive athletic ability when the pressure caves in, as his awareness and fluid burst get him out of trouble within a quick nick of time. I love the mix of groomed pad-level with his blocking with high level of leverage that maneuvers his defender into the next level and tops it off with assurance with his finish. Jake is also built like a mack truck with his durability in the open field as this is not a TE prospect you will want to tackle high on as he's built with really sound durability in his 6'3 frame. I also am really intrigued with Jake's hands at the tight end position. Not one or two, but a four sport athlete that has plenty of D1 and D2 interest and an expected big summer coming his way.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["156648"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"I was engaged watching the tape Akron-Westfield DB/WR [player_tooltip player_id='156648' first='Jack' last='Terpstra'], as I see exactly what my colleagues see from Jack at the defensive back spot. Jack has a outstanding vertical in his plethora of skillsets and a well-balanced length in his 6'0 frame that outweigh his measurables. He also has some crafty read steps on tape that set a balanced tone for his vision to open up in pass coverage in the middle of the field especially on one clip I watched early on Jack's mid season tape. He certainly is no slouch at WR either, as Jack has built in agility with his footwork to load up on yards after the catch with those feisty athletic traits he has in his arsenal. Another Iowa prospect on our list that is a four-sport athlete to watch at prospect camps this summer.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["283516"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"Liam might be just an incoming junior, but he already has the mauler-like instincts brewing at the 2A level for Estherville Lincoln Central. This young man has really good control from a leverage and pad-level standpoint for the measurables he has in his plethora. At 5'10 245 pounds Liam is the definition of it's the fight in the bull, not the size of the bull, as this young man has so much physicality to give with his great work ethic. He has that downhill finish with great consistency throughout his tape and my favorite rep was when maneuvered his defender from the first level to the third level of the field just before the 30 second mark of his tape, in which to me is a rep he should move up on tape. I already like the next-level potential and work ethic Liam brings to the table as a prospect that should develop even more skillsets with two more years of HS football under his belt.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":7,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-63eea100536d8"} /-->
