After a very successful 2023 campaign, colleges are starting to take notice of this talented QB prospect in down in Semmes, Alabama. Hollins finished his junior year with 2,513 yards, 29 TDs, and a 68% completion percentage. One of the biggest things that stands out to me is that he also has a 4.35 GPA. Turning on the tape it is easy to see how he helped the Vikings break a 20+ year playoff drought. His arm strength and ability to anticipate open windows are two of his best characteristics. Hollins is comfortable being uncomfortable and able to make off platform throws as well. Two schools have seen this recently, with Hollins adding 2 P5 offers this month from NC State and Boston College. I have a feeling many more are to come.
Zack Simmons
Zack Simmons
Simmons has added 2 offers since the turn of the New Year, Western Kentucky and UAB. He is one that will heat up quickly as one of the feature backs for the Central Red Devils. The acceleration and burst that he possesses is evident from the moment you hit play. His elusiveness seems to stem from the vision that he has as a ball carrier, and shows the durability to break tackles consistently. Simmons has shows very good play speed and should have his choice of suitors by signing day next year.
With Pitt, Troy, and UAB in on the 2025 QB from Oxford, it appears this will be only the tip of the iceberg from 6’3 195 Mason Mims Mason Mims 6’3″ | 180 lbs | QB Oxford | 2025 State AL . Playing for one of the top coaches in the state in Sam Adams, his development should continue at a high level. As a sophomore he was 171/237 with 2052 yards and 23 TDs. While he may have been young, the moment never looked to big for Mims competing in one of the toughest regions in the Alabama. He consistently displays a calm and cool demeanor as he lets the defense unfold, then he simply takes what they give him. His accuracy, touch, and pocket awareness should be sending a lot of college coaches through the doors of Oxford High School for the next couple of years.
Ri Fletcher
Ri Fletcher
With 3 offers added just this week alone, an emerging prospect may be an understatement when look at Ri Fletcher. He is a fluid, athletic back that has great body control and balance who should have an electric senior year. Fletcher was a huge piece of a Hartselle team that finished 12-1 this past season. His initial quickness with the ball in his hands is something I know jumps off the tape for coaches. Currently he lists offers from Austin Peay, Samford, Miami (OH), and Murray State.
Kam Weaver
Kam Weaver
This 2022 state champion outside backer finished his junior year with 83 tackles, 15.5 TFLs, 4 interceptions, 3 sacks, 7 pass breakups, and 3 defensive touchdowns. To say he was a big part of the Bulldogs first state championship since 1977, would be an understatement. Weaver’s rangy frame allows him to cover grass quickly when the ball is in the air and he possesses natural ball skills. His ability to play in space should lengthen an offer list that has begun with Arkansas State and Coastal Carolina this past month.
