Some of these prospects already passed our eye test to play on Saturdays, but others have some leaps to climb in their next two football seasons to get there. Regardless, it is time to watch the See You on Saturdays 2025 prospects from South Dakota and North Dakota.
Roland Sedlacek Roland Sedlacek 6'3" | 180 lbs | LB Custer | 2025 State SD , FS/QB, Custer (SD) 2025 Twitter
- This will probably be a last name Prep Redzone Dakotas subscribers will know, as Roland is the little brother of Northern State linebacker Daniel Sedlacek. What does Roland bring to the table? His tape is quite raw at the moment, but some skill sets caught my eye. What caught my eyes first was Roland’s burst, as he showed some good fluidity when he had the open field in his plethora, and it will certainly grow strongly into the offseason as I hope to see him work on growing that speed and adding more pure agility within his footwork when changing directions.
- I also really love the length of his wingspan at 6’3 190 pounds that Roland brings from the free safety spot. He also shows off some significant range in that long lower body he has, and he shows off some smooth mobility in his crossover run to get to the ball carrier on the inside or outside of the field looks like a sideline-to-sideline DB with his upside in the coming years. As Custer’s quarterback too, when Roland has the time he needs to get thru his full progressions, he puts together a good touch ball when throwing on intermediate routes. Like any underclassmen prospect, there is development to be seen over the next few years, but if Roland can put it all together, I like his chance of playing on Saturdays.
Gus Strommen Gus Strommen 6'0" | 210 lbs | DL Beulah | 2025 State ND , DL/OL, Beulah (ND) 2025 Twitter
- Regardless of which side of the line this young man ends up on, you can guarantee high levels of physicality will come thru with pure aggression for the Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase alum.
- Gus shows the highest upside in my eyes coming from the OL spot, as this kid’s first punch on every rep I have watched shows massively higher than what you will see from his measurables at 5’11 210 pounds, as this young man plays way higher than that frame he has and he still has years to grow even stronger in the weight room. He also has that good drive in his footwork to continue his leverage into the second level of the field, which is certainly promising to watch for this incoming junior for the Beulah Miners. It certainly looks like the Miners have another solid two-way lineman in their queue in the 2025 class in Gus Strommen Gus Strommen 6'0" | 210 lbs | DL Beulah | 2025 State ND .
Joseph Kramlich, DB, Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm (ND) 2025 Twitter
- The biggest first pop-out when watching Joseph’s sophomore tape is how precise this young man is with his pass coverage, especially within deep and intermediate routes, as he has the precision and longevity in his game to show an aggressive base that is built for the long haul on every long route out there-added two interceptions on those first two clips as well might I add.
- Joseph has a significantly high ceiling he can get to with the vision he brings out and has quick developing instincts to read the QB’s eyes when he is going thru his progressions. From the WR spot, Joseph puts together some smooth route-running from the top of his route and has good agility in his twitch to change directions with well-balanced athletic movement that can grow even better with two more seasons under his belt. He also shows off a good-sized catch radius for his frame and has a college football future as far as these scouting eyes can see—a high academic prospect with a 4.0 GPA.
Sullivan Schlimgen Sullivan Schlimgen 6'1" | 215 lbs | ATH O'Gorman | 2025 State SD , WR, Sioux Falls O’Gorman (SD) (2025) Twitter
- Sullivan catches my eye with just how strong his hands are on deep routes, especially with his athleticism in those high-traffic areas. He shows a ton of versatility on where you can place him in the Knights’ receiving core and get solid productivity out of it. You also have to factor in the length of Sullivan with his lower body, as that alone can create good boots of separation against a smaller defensive back.
- He also shows off an agile twitch with his footwork on short routes, which is not common to see with a WR prospect at Sullivan’s size, and he’s got two more years to trend even higher with that footwork of his. Sullivan also shows some well-polished balance in his plethora, no matter what skill set you are elevating in his game; there is a ton of consistency across the board. I certainly see his game speed being faster than it gets credit for, as by our next update, you will see Sullivan listed within our 2025 rankings coming up. Certainly a WR prospect you will see in the future on Saturdays. Sullivan is a high academic prospect too, with a 4.12 GPA
Lincoln Semchenko Lincoln Semchenko 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD , OL, Sioux Falls Christian (SD) (2025) Twitter
- I don’t believe as of yet that I have met a more physically imposing center in the Dakotas than Sioux Falls Christian’s Lincoln Semchenko Lincoln Semchenko 6'4" | 290 lbs | OL Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD . It starts with just how efficient Lincoln is with his pad level and leverage he gets within his 6’4 273 pound frame, as Lincoln opens up his tape with a slew of loaded-up physicality and good foot drive to pound his blocker to the turf.
- Lincoln is the definition of an OL prospect that you can guarantee will always block until that whistle is blown, which is exactly the work ethic college coaches want with their O-Line as we look at the next level. It nearly took me until the one-minute mark of Lincoln’s tape to find a rep where he wasn’t pinning his defender and finishing him off on the turf, but instead, he continued to show productive angle blocking with paving good sized holes for his running back to run thru. If I had to book it today, I would say Lincoln is on a path to play on Saturdays at the Division I level from my eyes.
Jake Starcevic Jake Starcevic 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Kindred | 2025 State ND , LB, Thompson (ND) (2025) Twitter
- Talk about instincts for a linebacker in the 2025 class; wow, you have to look at Thompson (ND) linebacker Jake Starcevic Jake Starcevic 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Kindred | 2025 State ND . The quick trigger Jake shows off when he climbs up to the next level of the field and puts all of his physical traits within his 6’3 190 pound frame right on the ball carrier.
- Sometimes it felt like on Jake’s early sophomore tape, this kid’s vision was off the charts as he could read extremely quickly in pass coverage well before the ball was even released where the QB was going with it. His visionary instincts don’t stop in pass coverage either, as Jake shows off a driving force that gets off his blocks quickly and hammers down into the ball carrier like a downhill freight train coming at full speed. There certainly is a college football future for this kid at the linebacker position; absolutely no doubt about it!
