Dawson Maehl- John Carroll High
6’0 190lbs
Maehl has been one of the best quarterbacks in the 1S region for the last two seasons. This season he led John Carroll to a 10-2 record and into the state semifinals. The season he passed for 1,653 yards, completed 56% of his passes with 15 touchdowns in the QB rating of 97.1. He also had a rushing touchdown on the season. He’s a good leader; was voted the team captain and is a 3 years starter, he also possesses an outstanding 4.55 GPA and a 1240 SAT! Maehl possesses a quick setup and delivery, shows the arm talent to make every throw necessary for the next level.
William Tucker- Father Lopez High
5’11 170lbs
Tucker had a solid season for Father Lopez in 2022. As a first-time starter he passed for 1,569 yards, completed 63% of his passes with 13 touchdowns and a QB rating of 101.8. He’s a dual threat player that could also beat you with his legs and rushed for 401 yards, averaging over 8 yards per carry with one 100 yd rushing game. He also averaged 37 yards per punt. He helped the Green Wave reach the regional semifinals this season in the state playoffs. Smooth throwing lefty that does a good job with ball placement and touch on third level throws, has athleticism to avoid the rush and scrambles to throw, shows toughness to stand in the pocket and take hits while delivering the football. He’s a two sport athlete that possesses a 3.85 GPA!
Ty Keller- First Baptist Academy
6’1 200lbs
Keller is a promising player out of First Baptist that had a big hand in helping the Lions win the 1S State Championship this season! Keller was selected first team All-State and has a 1340 SAT score. Last season as a junior he passed for 2,575 yards and 38 touchdowns. This season only playing in 9 games and splitting time he passed for 501 yards, completing 59% of his passes with 3 touchdown. Keller is a smooth distributor of the football, does a good job shuffling his feet in the pocket to avoid the rush, shows good mechanics and footwork. Is a very underrated prospect that should be getting looks.
