Over 200 players were added since our last updated and I continue to add players to our watchlist every day. A ton of players had incredible seasons and showed they need to be a part of our rankings. Here is part 2 of the New Additions ranked between 50-100.

Zymier Jackson Zymier Jackson 6’1″ | 175 lbs | QB East | 2024 State NY had one of the most efficient quarterback seasons in New York last season with a 9-to-1 TD to INT Ratio. Jackson is an incredible athlete and can make incredible off platform throws in the move. Jackson does a really good job of using movement in the pocket to extend his time to throw and make plays down the field. Jackson has really solid deep accuracy and throws longer passes with really solid touch. Jackson also is a threat with his legs, while Jackson is an incredible athlete he is really a pass-first type of player who will be patient outside the pocket to throw down the field. However, when Jackson has open lanes and space he is a threat as a runner. Overall Jackson is one of the most talented quarterbacks in New York especially when you consider that he still can make huge improvements in his accuracy and mechanics in the short and intermediate range of throws.

Nicholas Rinaldi Nicholas Rinaldi 6’2″ | 265 lbs | OL Chaminade | 2024 State NY was a really solid interior offensive lineman for a really solid Chaminade rushing attack. Rinaldi has really solid power in his base and moves defenders with ease. Rinaldi does a good job as a pulling lead blocker or as a lead blocker coming off a double team. In pass protection Rinaldi does a really good job of using his strong base to hold his line and has the lateral movement skills to get solid leverage against faster and quicker pass rushers. Rinaldi also does a good job of finding work in pass protection when he is not getting a matchup off the snap. Overall, Rinaldi is a really well-rounded offensive lineman whose really consistent and solid performances this season put him in our rankings.
Jayden Wright Jayden Wright 6’0″ | 165 lbs | WR Curtis | 2024 State NY had a really solid season for Curtis in the PSAL. Wright is a really solid route runner and does a really good job of creating seperation. Wright is a really good athlete who is a threat as a returner or after the catch both because of his quick ability to cut and accelerate but also physicality which makes him hard to tackle. Wright should have a chance to build off of his 34 reception, 548 yards, 4TD season as he becomes the main playmaker for the Curtis offense this season.
Nahseem Deas Nahseem Deas 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Lincoln | 2024 State NY has all the physical traits you want in a modern day quarterback with really solid height at 6’3 and incredible athleticism. Deas has a really solid deep ball and does a great job of making long throws after moving around inside or outside the pocket. Deas often uses a very long dropback to create some extra space and time to throw and his arm strength allows him to make all the throws he needs to make from that position. Deas does a good job of adjusting the flight of his ball at different levels of the field and showed on tape he can make the long 10-15 yards throws on out breaking routes from the opposite hash with incredible velocity on his throws. Deas is not only really solid as a passes but could have the most dangerous legs of the quarterbacks in this class.

Nakei Johnson Nakei Johnson 5’11” | 165 lbs | DB Newburgh | 2024 State NY was one of the most important factors in Newburgh’s AA State Championship game appearance. Johnson was a lockdown corner all season for Newburgh and is very physical and athletic. Johnson is 5’11, 165lbs but hits and plays like he is much bigger. Johnson is really solid in press man coverage. Johnson is one of the best man coverage defenders in New York and does a great job of staying in-stride with receivers on routes at all three levels of the field. Johnson also is a really solid defender in run support because of his physicality and his strong ability to get off the blocks of WRs and TEs. On the offensive side of the ball Johnson showed really solid production in very limited opportunities. Johnson’s speed and smooth athleticism should be utilized much more on offense this season by Newburgh.

Trey Stevens Trey Stevens 6’2″ | 235 lbs | DL Rye Country Day | 2024 State NY had a really solid season for Rye where his 7 Sacks and 25 TFL were just half of the story in the way Stevens played. Stevens has a really quick burst off the snap and does a great job of using his hands to win early and create leverage. Stevens, has the quickness and lateral movement ability to make plays after the snap against much quicker running backs in the backfield. Stevens does a great job of impacting plays where he make not end up with a stat. Stevens ability to get in the backfield and blowup plays is very evident on tape. Stevens length make him really tough to block as a pass rusher because he can win while keep lineman at a distance where they cannot fully engage with Stevens. Stevens is one of the most well-rounded edge defenders in New York and has the chance to make an even bigger jump next season.

Cole Denson Cole Denson 6’0″ | 185 lbs | ATH Rye Country Day | 2024 State NY was a versatile offensive weapon for Rye Country Day, and was their leading rusher and receiver. Denson had exactly 1,000 yards rushing this season averaging nearly 10 yards per carry. Denson added 14 TDs on the ground as a runner. Through the air, Denson was the best weapon Rye Country Day could field and 384 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns proved so. On Defense, Denson was a factor also with a team leading 4 INTs. Denson is incredibly fast and his quick one-cut upfield running style keep him going north and at a pace not many can keep up with. Denson has great acceleration and it shows on boht sides of the ball. Denson also is a very physical runner who can breakthrough tackles using stiff arms or just his power. Denson is one of the most proven overall athletes in this class who has the production to match the skills.
Jazier Fluker Jazier Fluker 6’3″ | 230 lbs | DL Bennett | 2024 State NY is a very physical defensive lineman who was a huge factor off the edge for AA state champions Bennet. Fluker has really solid length and his ability to contain the edge while making plays on the inside are really positive traits. Fluker has really solid first steps off the snap and his quickness across the LOS is really strong. Fluker has elite length and does a great job of using that length to disrupt the passer in the backfield by batting passes or getting his hands around the QB. Fluker has the ability to not only make plays as a pass rusher but can be an effective run defender and make plays in pursuit past the line of scrimmage.
Jason Brunson Jr Jason Brunson Jr 6’0″ | 200 lbs | ATH CBA-Syracuse | 2024 State NY had a really solid season and his tape showed he needed to be a part of our rankings. Brunson Jr has great size at 6′, 200lbs and is a factor for CBA-Syracuse on both offense and defense. Brunson Jr is really physical and strong and can create seperation as a route runner on offense. On the other side of the ball, Brunson Jr is a physical tackler who has lined up anywhere from Cornerback and Safety to more of an edge defender. Brunson Jr on offensive showed he can play in the slot, outside, or as a tight end in a three point stance. Brunson is a fluid athlete who will have the opportunity to make a huge jump this season with more opportunities available next season.
Peter Northrup Peter Northrup 6’1″ | 260 lbs | DL Penfield | 2024 State NY is a really quick and physical defensive tackler. Northrup does a really good job of blowing up pulling blockers can get through his initial engagements with quickness and low pad level. Northrup has quick hands and his ability to use his quickness to win both in the run game and as a pass rusher. Northrup does a really good job of finishing plays as a defensive tackle and finishing more athletic playmakers on offense. Northrup is also a really solid blocker on offense where his quick hands lead to winning initial engagements and the ability to readjust and fight through better positions.
