This class of "Gun Slingers" in the state of Tennessee caught my attention. I made it my duty to check them out. I can't wait to see the ones I haven't witnessed firsthand, in person. Let's take a quick view at who this class has to offer at Quarterback.

[player_tooltip player_id='207312' first='Brady' last='Hammonds'] - QB - Gatlinburg-Pittman HS / @brady_hammonds

Hammonds is very comfortable in the pocket and has the instinct to step up when it collapses, or escape the impending rush. Keeps his feet aligned at all times, allowing him to deliver quickly from a sturdy base or off-platform. Shows the ability to drop his arm angle and execute passes around defenders flailing arms. He has a twitchy release, with pop out of his elbow, and flick of the wrist nature.

[player_tooltip player_id='207322' first='Carter' last='Smith'] - QB - Hardin County HS / @cartersmith_5

Smith can effortlessly throw the ball downfield without it fluttering or losing velocity. He is able to lead receivers and hit them in stride, even when he is under pressure. Smith velocity is some of the best in the class, as he can drive the ball in between defenders and thread the needle. His accuracy was also excellent. He does a great job of placing the ball where it needs to be at all levels of the field. He can throw his receiver open and find ways to put the ball where only his target can get it.

[player_tooltip player_id='268184' first='Joshuah' last='Keith'] - QB - Clinton HS / @KeithJoshuah

Keith's arm talent was on complete display last year. He connected on multiple strikes of 60 or more yards while also driving passes into small windows. Keith puts great touch on intermediate to deep passes. He often hit receivers in stride and showed flashes of throwing with anticipation. Keith looks natural when throwing on the run, and he delivers strikes into small windows with excellent velocity.

Jay St. Hilaire - QB - McCallie HS / @Jay_StHilaire12

Hilaire is a very accurate passer, it seems as though all his throws are right on target and only where his receiver can catch it. Impeccable timing on his passes, it just seems like no matter the situation or the defense he is facing, he is always prepared and knows what he needs to do. He is a very smart player and really uses his intelligence to his advantage. He doesn't have the strongest arm, but his timing helps him overcome that. He will never throw a sixty-yard pass, however, he will throw the most accurate fifty-yard pass you will see. He has the athleticism to make plays with his legs but doesn't run unless it's the last option.

[player_tooltip player_id='239409' first='Wesley' last='Deck'] - QB - Heritage HS / @DeckWesley

Deck puts touch on his throws at all three levels and often gives his pass catchers opportunities for yards after the catch. He has enough mobility to extend plays and can punish defenses with his legs if left alone in space. Deck is comfortable and accurate throwing on the run and has a quick release.

This class of "Gun Slingers" in the state of Tennessee caught my attention. I made it my duty to check them out. I can't wait to see the ones I haven't witnessed firsthand, in person. Let's take a quick view at who this class has to offer at Quarterback.
