Carlin Long, RB, Huntsville
Long is a stud at running back. He stands 6-foot, and weighs in a little over 190-pounds. Long has some good speed. He has some great vision between the tackles. Long reminds me of the Clinton Portis style running backs. He also has some good hands out of the backfield. Long recently picked up an offer from Miami (OH). Keep your ears open for his name.
Jiquan Sanks, DB, Central
Sanks has a lot of swag in the secondary. He does a great job of reacting to plays. Sacks does a great job in zone coverage. He also has some good speed. When Sanks catches an interception, he has what it takes to go the distance. He is also a vicious tackler. He can break up passes with big hits. Sanks is aggressive when he comes in to catch interceptions. He isn’t going to just reach out for the ball. He gets aggressive and nasty on the islands. Sanks recently picked up an offer from Coastal Carolina.
Josiah Kimbrough, OLB, Oxford
Kimbrough is a very disciplined edge player. When I watched his film, I loved how easily he reacts to offensive lineman on running plays. He does all the things a defensive lineman coaches teaches his players. He moves from side to side very good. I think that he is going to be an outside linebacker on the next level. He is definitely a player to keep up with. It is easy to see he won’t be hard to coach on the next level.
Jalyn Chambers, DB, Sparkman
Chambers is a very dangerous player. He is not the guy you want receiving punts or catching interceptions. When he gets the ball, he turns into a machine. His movements make him very elusive. You won’t have to worry about the first defender bringing him down. Chambers has a quick first step. He also has some nasty juke moves that he uses. Chambers definitely can play cornerback on the next level. He has the hips. He knows how to react to plays. Chambers closes in on plays very well. Keep up with his young man.
