The Prep Redzone 7v7 circuit made it’s way through Tennessee this weekend as the second annual Music City Mayhem tourney took place in Murfreesboro. We had a great weekend of football and saw so many players at all levels making plays both days. Congratulations to our champions of the tournament! 502 7v7 out of Kentucky had a perfect weekend, capped off with the 18U championship. Slaughter House Elite is taking the 15U and 14U championships back to South Carolina. Legacy U won a defensive battle to take the 12U championship back to Ohio and NPA Green got the day started by winning the 10U championship.
We’ve had a ton of content over the last few days breaking down the action from the tournament. From player breakdowns in all divisions to photos and video highlights, Prep Redzone is committed to being America’s Most Covered 7v7 Circuit. The coverage before, during and now after the Music City Mayhem is unmatched! Check out Prep Redzone for more players breakdowns and follow our social channels for photos and video highlights! For now, we’re emptying the notebook with more names from the 18U division that stood out throughout the two days in Murfreesboro!
Cy Longley – 2026 Wide Receiver – Savages Black
We kick off the breakdown with 2026 wide receiver Cy Longley from Savages Black. We got a chance to watch him and the rest of his team during pool play on Saturday and he ended up having one of the better performances from a wide receiver. He made some big catches early on in the contest and then with his team trailing, he made one more catch that went for a touchdown and that ended up providing the difference in the game. Keep an eye on this sophomore standout.
Jayden Chambers – 2025 Edge – 256 Family
It’s not easy to stand out on the defensive side of the ball in 7v7 tournaments but the guys that do are usually some of the better athletes in attendance. That’s the case for 2025 edge Jayden Chambers as he played for 256 Family this weekend. Chambers was incredibly smooth while running around and he looks like a defensive end or an outside linebacker already. You don’t see that kind of size and athleticism very often so Chambers was easily one of the physical standouts.
Je’Dan Gilbert Je’Dan Gilbert 6'3" | 160 lbs | ATH Fairfield Preparatory | 2024 AL – 2024 Athlete – YOG Select
2024 standout Je’Dan Gilbert Je’Dan Gilbert 6'3" | 160 lbs | ATH Fairfield Preparatory | 2024 AL returned to Tennessee after enjoying a breakout weekend at last year’s Music City Mayhem tourney. He got on the radar following that performance in 2023. Fast forward to this weekend and Gilbert was once again one of the top two-way players in Murfreesboro. Gilbert picked up right where he left off as an absolute star with the ball in his hands on offense. He would also turn around and make plenty of plays on the defensive side of the ball.
Jordan Garner – 2025 Wide Receiver – 256 Family
Joining Chambers from the 256 Family squad was 2025 wide receiver Jordan Garner on the offensive side of the ball. There were a few things that really stood out when our writers got a chance to see Garner in person. But the two major things were his vision and instincts on the football field. You combine those with his overall speed and quickness and you have a dangerous playmaker with the football in his hands. He gets in and out of his breaks in the blink of an eye.
