2023 Final Position Rankings: Offensive Line

<!-- wp:paragraph {"style":{"typography":{"fontSize":"15px"}}} --> <p style="font-size:15px">With a majority of the class of 2023 already committing or signing to college programs, I have released my final rankings for the class. As these rankings have been finalized, I have decided to break them down by position. Over the past week, I have been breaking down the offensive side of the ball and will now wrap things up with the big guys up front that make everything possible. With that being said, here are how my final 2023 offensive line rankings played out for the state of Kentucky.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["386122"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='386122' first='Malachi' last='Wood'] came into this past season as our top ranked offensive lineman in his class and he held on to that spot with a very impressive senior year. Wood is a massive left tackle, measuring in at 6'8u0022, 280 pounds. He is a mauler in the run game, exploding out of his stance and driving his man off the line of scrimmage. Wood also does a great job of getting up to the second level and picking up blocks in the open field. In pass protection, Wood has very good footwork, showing the ability to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge. He also does a great job of holding his ground and protecting his inside gap. He continued to impress in his senior year as he was a key piece of the Woodford County offense. Cook lined up at right guard and was truly dominant in the run game. He has a very explosive first step and does a great job of running his feet through contact to drive his man down the field. Cook is a physical finisher, resulting in several pancake blocks. He is also very reliable in pass protection. Cook does a great job of protecting his inside gap and keeping his head on a swivel to pick up incoming stunts and blitzes. Anderson lined up at guard and was a key catalyst in the Bowling Green run game. He does a great job of exploding out of his stance and driving his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage. While he is great in that area, he also shows the ability to block in space, being used very frequently as a puller and turning into a lead blocker in the open field. In pass protection, Anderson showed the ability to use his footwork to mirror opposing defensive linemen and showed the awareness to pick up stunts and blitzes. He is a big, physical left tackle that dominated in the run game this season. Taylor is a true mauler in the run game, exploding out of his stance and driving his man off the line of scrimmage. He does a great job of finishing his blocks through the whistle, resulting in several pancake blocks. Taylor is also a very good pass blocker. He has quick feet which he uses to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge and he does a great job of continuing to work in his pass sets to keep defenders away from the quarterback. Alexander lined up at right guard, and like Taylor, is a very dominant run blocker. Not only does he create movement off the line of scrimmage but Alexander also showed the ability to pick up blocks in open space. He has shown the ability to get to the second level and simply destroy anything in his path in the open field. In pass protection, Alexander has shown solid footwork and does a good job of protecting his inside gap.
