Team Phantom Desoto Eagles #2 [player_tooltip player_id='60859' first='Johntay' last='Cook II'] WR 6'0 170 lbs

Ranking: National #35 TX #6 WR #6

College: University of Texas

I saw Johntay last month at the 6A Texas state championships and he dominated. Johntay was one of the main contributors during that game earning Desoto high school the 2022 state title. However, during the All-American Johntay was faster than when I saw him in Texas, especially against stronger competition. The cornerbacks and safeties could barely keep up with Johntay's speed. Even being on the field for a limited Johntay showcased his skills as one of the best wide receivers in the country.

Team Phantom Paetow Panthers #5 [player_tooltip player_id='60868' first='David' last='Hicks'] Jr. DE 6'4 270 lbs

Ranking: National #9 TX #1 DL #1

College: Texas A&M University

[player_tooltip player_id='60868' first='David' last='Hicks'] Jr high school career is two years at Morton Ranch, one year at Allen, and one year at Paetow, and finally an All-American athlete. David was one of the most anticipated players in this game. David is ranked #1 in his position and in all of Texas he had all eyes on him. David is the ideal size defensive end he is quick off the ball, agile, versatile, and possesses great athletic ability. David was attacking the edge throughout the whole game using his power and speed to break through any obstacle in his way to make the play. David had a fantastic showing at the All-American and I expect him to make a big name for himself at Texas A&M University.

Team Phantom Cy-Ranch Mustangs #9 [player_tooltip player_id='259528' first='Ashton' last='Porter'] DE 6'3 255 lbs

College: University of Oregon

Rankings: National #329 DL #45 TX #57

Another defensive lineman people had their eyes on was [player_tooltip player_id='259528' first='Ashton' last='Porter']. Ashton was quick and fast off the ball allowing him into the backfield to lay on massive pressure getting tackles. Ashton also had the strength to pull and push offensive linemen off him to make the play. Offensive linemen had difficulty containing both defensive ends [player_tooltip player_id='259528' first='Ashton' last='Porter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='60868' first='David' last='Hicks']. Ashton's commitment to The University of Oregon during halftime was the most anticipated announcement of the whole game especially after he de-committed from Northwestern three months ago.

Team Phantom South Oak Cliff Bears #4 [player_tooltip player_id='258572' first='Malik' last='Muhammad'] CB 6'0 175 lbs

College: University of Texas

Rankings: National #41 CB #5 TX #8

I was excited to see cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='258572' first='Malik' last='Muhammad'] ever since I saw him win defensive MVP in the 5A Texas State Championships. Malik is extremely fast using his speed to get in front of passes to deflect them. Malik was neck and neck with his wide receiver not allowing any space between them or freedom of movement. Malik in this game demonstrated why he is a top 5 cornerback Texas' defense is unmatched.

Team Phantom Martin Warriors #14 [player_tooltip player_id='136181' first='Javien' last='Toviano'] CB, S 6'0 185 lbs

College: Louisiana State University

Rankings: National #58 CB #6 TX #9

[player_tooltip player_id='136181' first='Javien' last='Toviano'] in ranking is right behind [player_tooltip player_id='258572' first='Malik' last='Muhammad'], but in terms of skills they're about even. Javien is a pro at reading the offensive anticipating where the pass will go and delivering a devastating hit on the ball carrier. With Javien's quickness and speed, he displayed lockdown defense throughout the whole game. I'm expecting Javien to be a top player in the future at LSU.
