The path to college football is easier for some than others, leaving many players with question marks regarding their next chapter.
Below is a list of five talented quarterbacks who stood out in multiple positions during their senior season.
For any program searching for a quarterback with top-tier skills and elite potential, Box is arguably one of the best available prospects west of the Mississippi. His 6-foot-4 frame and 76-inch wingspan automatically check some of the boxes that programs look for in a collegiate quarterback. He has a Howitzer for an arm that makes him capable of dropping bombs deep downfield for receivers to run under and catch in stride or rifle passes into tight windows to place the ball right on the numbers of his target. He is a player whose skillset on and off the field give him a value that is unmatched as a prospect, but it is clear that his current recruiting status has fallen victim to coaching turnovers and the transfer portal. Box’s future is still uncertain, but he is easily one of the more underrated quarterbacks in the area.
Pohlosky is a player who looks good on film and even better in person. He does an excellent job maneuvering within the pocket and adjusting his throws to avoid pressure while maintaining accurate ball placement. His pocket presence and footwork complement his ability to keep his eyes downfield while avoiding the pass rush. He has a strong arm capable of making throws on every level, but his quick release makes him a perfect fit for the quick game and intermediate passes. In addition to his abilities as a thrower, Pohlosky is a strong runner who can get it done with his legs when needed.

Sauer is a quarterback who possesses the potential to be a solid player at the next level. He consistently stood out at camps and tended to land in the category of the top quarterbacks in attendance, which carried over into his high school seasons. His intermediate and deep throws quickly grab the attention of any onlooker, adding to his long list of standout qualities. Sauer’s size and athleticism make him a dangerous runner who is tough to bring down, allowing him to pick up yards with his legs and run through would-be tacklers.
Highlights
Cook is another mobile quarterback with a big frame and an even bigger arm. His playing style is perfect for a spread offense with big receivers, especially one that runs the air raid. His ability to throw the deep ball allows speedy receivers to run past the secondary and catch the ball in stride. He does a great job at utilizing the size of bigger receivers by placing his intermediate throws in spots that allows his guys to go up and make the one-on-one contested catches. Cook’s mobility makes him a capable runner who can take off if the coverage is tight downfield and keep the defense honest by pulling the ball and running on RPO plays, making him a player worthy of a closer look.

Rearick was in a tricky situation during his high school career that landed him behind one of the more talented 2024 quarterbacks in the nation, but that was not a testament to his talents. He is an outstanding player with solid mechanics, a strong arm, excellent pocket awareness, and impressive athleticism. His versatility to accurately throw from the pocket or on the run adds to his appeal as a next-level quarterback. If Rearick went to just about any other school in the state, there is no doubt that he would have been one of the top passers in the class, making him an absolute sleeper as a prospect.
