In the end, nobody checked off the boxes like Wynn did this fall. The star senior RB put together the most impressive weekly and season long performance of any player in WI. His effort and talent led Mukwonago to a 12-2 record, and State Finals Runner Ups in D1. That game gave us a look into how important he was to the team. Without him, Mukwonago took Kimberly to the final seconds before falling in defeat. Unfortunately, Wynn was hurt on his second carry of the game. I can’t guarantee Mukwonago wins if Stang plays the whole game, but I can guarantee the game plays out much differently. Not to mention his stats would be even more impressive. During the season, Wynn led Mukwonago to a Classic 8 Conference Championship. The Classic 8 is widely viewed as the deepest, most talented conference in WI, and Wynn ran through it. The team’s 6-1 conference record carried a 115 point differential. Wynn also led his team into high profile non-conference showdowns with Sussex Hamilton and Sun Prairie East. Against Sussex, Wynn ran for 304 yards and 4 TDs. One week later, he blew that out of the water as he ran for 470 yards and 6 TDs against Sun Prairie East. That 470 yards was the second most in a single game all time in WI history. Mukwonago scored 24+ points in every game, but one also. The offense churned out the points on the back of Wynn.
Wynn personified the workhorse back. At 6’1″ 195 lbs, Stang has the frame to continue to add to while still maintaining his athleticism. He is a well rounded athlete. One that can attack between the tackles and outside the tackles. He plays with exceptional body control and balance while running through tackle attempts. He can take any carry the distance with his long speed. He also offers a receiving threat out of the backfield. Diving into his individual stats further, Wynn finished second in rushing yards and TDs despite missing basically the entirety of the 14th game. Take out that 14th game and Wynn would also be 2nd in rushing yards per game instead of 3rd. He carried the ball 20+ times in 10 of his games and ran for 200+ yards in 5 games, 300+ yards in 2 games, and 400+ yards in that one historic game. Wynn also scored in every game except that 14th game where he touched the ball twice. He scored 2 or more TDs in 12 games, 3 or more TDs in 8 games, and 4 or more TDs in 6 games. Wynn was must watch every week and gave us a season to remember.
Luckily for college programs, Wynn is an uncommitted senior. He holds PWOs from Wisconsin and Purdue currently. Check out his highlights below! Congratulations on a great career, and amazing senior season, Wynn! Looking forward to seeing what is next for you!
