Tough to understand how this sophomore doesn’t have an FBS offer yet. One of the more profound head-scratchers that I’ve covered thus far. La Salle Academy’s Terrance Campbell is a violent linebacker who translates that same violence to the other side of the ball when at running back. Balanced between the tackles, incredible vision once in the secondary to morph first-downs into touchdowns. Acceleration is a plus, straight-line speed is impressive for a 6’1, 215-pound back. Campbell’s linebacker tape is what makes Campbell one of the best overall prospects in Rhode Island. Hash to hash in a flash thanks to great lateral agility. Play recognition of a four-year starter yet just a sophomore. Ferocious finisher. Some of the best tape I’ve seen from underclassmen two-way prospects. Middle linebacker reps but can undoubtedly work in the outside if need be. Timely blitzer, can sniff out screens with ease. Wouldn’t be surprised if he could serve strong or weak side, or even help in pass coverage. Elite prospect.
Although no full-season tape is on record yet, Ben Howard proved his early top-30 rank to be a sufficient one. 6’4, 225, cut-up, muscular build that helps the Malden Catholic sophomore work anywhere inside the defensive line. Exemplary get-off, Howard often leaves slow guard reaching when jumping the snap from his IDL position. His closing speed to the football after shedding is a plus. His motor is a plus, often seen downfield or near the boundary making stops. One of the few underclassmen I’ve come across that could be a factor in both pass-rush and run-stopping games. His future will sway based on how his body frame continues to develop. The tape and production will only get better.
Highlights
A pure athlete who can be schemed or worked into any skill position on the offensive side of the football. Running back with wideout capable hands and separation skills, Justin Marques Justin Marques 5’11” | 220 lbs | RB Fairhaven | 2025 State NewE had himself a hell of a 2022 Fall, racking up 1100+ rushing yards and 200+ receiving yards to the tune of 25 total touchdowns. Nice blend of N-S, E-W running. A real playmaker that can score from anywhere on the field, taking sweeps 70+ yards for scores, lining up behind center and catching balls in the middle of the field for scores. Marques put in a sophomore year to remember. All of this and we didn’t even get to mention his prowess at linebacker. The tape shows a stout linebacking prospect that understands where to be at the right time, thanks to his reps on the other side of the football. Awesome gap integrity and play recognition. Alignment versatile at linebacker too, not just a middle or outside player. He can set the edge, blitz, rush the passer, or stuff runs at the LOS. Quality two-way prospect who proved he deserved to be ranked inside the top 75.
Highlights
6’2, 270-pound freshman who can double as a center or interior defensive lineman. Ton of pancakes from his center alignment, great grip strength allows him to punch, pop and steer IDL of all shapes and sizes. Impressive lower body strength and hips to hold off multiple linemen and squeak through double teams when on defense. The very least you’re going to get Mills holding his block, making sure he occupies his gap. This is a prospect who doesn’t rely on special measurables to get his name in recruiting circles. He won’t rely on a special name, or school, or combine numbers to do the talking for him. His tape will do the talking. He isn’t a talent waiting to blossom, there’s no projection, Antwane Mills Antwane Mills 6’1″ | 285 lbs | OL Belmont Hill | 2026 State NewE is ready to play now.
What’s better than great OL run-blocking tape? Great TE run-blocking tape. That’s what you’ll get out of Brady Crowley Brady Crowley 6’3″ | 230 lbs | TE Marshfield | 2025 State NewE , a 6’1, 185-pound sophomore TE out of Marshfield HS. Crowley’s prowess as a blocker can come from many different alignments, either in-line with tackles, in the backfield, or in motion to build up steam before steering kids into the sidelines. Crowley is going to turn heads because of his blocking ability, yet the young man can still release downfield and serve as a legitimate target for the Marshfield passing attack. A multi-faceted tight end who will end up on our rankings in due time.
