He can line up all over the field and go in motion to confuse defenses. Payson’s stop-start acceleration is among the best in the state. He can get behind a defense or make plays over the middle of the field. In addition, he displays excellent body control that allows him to make memorable grabs. Wall does a good job locating the ball and is hard to bring down after the catch.
Karver Mock || LB || 6’2 || 195 || Canyon High School || 2023
Mock is a fearless linebacker who makes plays along the front seven all 48 minutes. He excels at taking on blockers where he bench presses them off him or ducks under their attempted block. Mock does a great job filling holes and is a surefire tackler. He takes great pursuit angles and knows when to dive to make plays. Mock has sideline-to-sideline quickness and never gives up on a play. Few skill players can juke him in space, and he makes big hits on special teams sprinting downfield. Mock can play on offense too, where he does a good job dishing out blocks and hauling in passes at a tight end.
Ty Miller || OL || 6’4 || 260 || Springville High School || 2023
Miller helped pave the way for one of the state’s best rushing attacks. He loves to pull and dish out punishment to whoever gets in his way. Miller takes good paths when pulling and has good vision to locate linebackers. He keeps his pads low and doesn’t slow down on contact. Miller delivers a devastating first punch as he explodes off the snap, ready to dish out punishment at all times. He always plays through the white and loves to finish blocks with pancakes. Miller has a good anchor in pass protection and stays patient, not getting out of possession in his pass sets.
Nicholas Macias || WR || 6’3 || 175 || Canyon View High School || 2023
Macias is an elite athlete with the tools to stand out at the next level. The senior wideout decimates defenses with crisp routes and an elite ability to track the ball.
