<p><strong>First Team - [player_tooltip player_id='152873' first='Lance' last='Berends'] - Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn - Senior</strong></p>

<p>With seven sacks and 15 tackles for loss, [player_tooltip player_id='152873' first='Lance' last='Berends'] was constantly disrupting plays for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn this year. Berends finished with 62.5 tackles, as 49 of those were solo stops.</p>

<p><strong>Second Team - Chase Copeland - Woodbury Central - Senior</strong></p>

<p>Chase Copeland of Woodbury Central felt many double teams during the season, but the senior still found a way to record six sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss. He finished the season with 26 tackles in all, as 21 of those were solo stops.</p>

<p><strong>Third Team - [player_tooltip player_id='320707' first='Mason' last='Harter'] - Wapsie Valley - Senior</strong></p>

<p>Wapsie Valley senior [player_tooltip player_id='320707' first='Mason' last='Harter'] made it difficult for teams to get going on offense, as he was in on 47.5 tackles with six sacks and 13 stops for loss. Harter recorded 33 solo tackles on the year.</p>

<p><strong>Honorable Mention</strong></p>

<p>East Buchanan's [player_tooltip player_id='125574' first='Cody' last='Fox'] had nine sacks and [player_tooltip player_id='320609' first='Aiden' last='Lamborn'] of Nashua-Plainfield recorded 8.5, while [player_tooltip player_id='152880' first='Robbie' last='Barnes'] from Southwest Valley, [player_tooltip player_id='320685' first='Ryan' last='Hackbart'] of Saint Ansgar and [player_tooltip player_id='247996' first='David' last='Smith'] from West Hancock were all tough in the trenches. </p>
