This Winter Showcase featured over 250 athletes in front of over 40 colleges and universities. Many players stood out to the coaches running the showcase – this article will feature the MVPs for the Quarterback position.
Brady Turriff – Sun Valley – This talented 2024 prospect stands at 6’2 195 pounds and sparked Sun Valley to some strong offensive performances against good competition this past season. I love the way he throws timing routes – consistently on film he shows excellent anticipation and accuracy, especially outside the numbers vs. 1-on-1 coverage.

– Cannon School – If we would have named an overall MVP for the position, Green would have been it. He displayed excellent mechanics and arm strength consistently throughout the day. A 2024 player, he stands at 6’2, 200 pounds. He is also a baseball player – and excels at basketball as well. An excellent team leader and a bit under-recruited at the moment.
Andrew Attmore – Dudley – Another Class of 2024 QB here, he also comes in at 6’2 and 220 pounds. Conference Player of the year, I really liked the consistency he showed in placing the ball in tight spaces throughout the day. Good arm strength and holds an offer from Livingstone at the moment.

– Maiden – Thompson was the talk of a few coaches in attendance. Standing at 6’5 and 185 pounds, coaches always love that potential with a frame like that. A 2023 prospect, Thompson displays good footwork and a smooth delivery of a throwing motion. On film, he is consistent with accuracy on a variety of throws. Has a couple of offers, including Bluefield State.

– Olympic – Elijah is a 2023 player who had an excellent season, leading his team to its first undefeated regular season in school history and the 2nd round of the State Playoffs. At 6’2 and 195 pounds, Holmes had great consistency throwing throughout the showcase and is very accurate with the football. He has some dual-threat ability and is also a baseball player.

Palisades | 2024

NC
– Palisades – As a 2024 prospect, Jarek has always shown consistently good performances on the camp circuit. Playing QB for a first-year program last season was some growing pains but at 6’0 and 155 pounds he displays some great toughness and accuracy when provided protection in the pocket. I think he will come on the scene strong this upcoming season.

Millbrook | 2024
State
NC
– Millbrook – At 6’1 and 190 pounds, this 2024 prospect had a great season in leading his team to the State Semifinals. I enjoyed seeing him move well in agility drills and his film shows that same dual-threat ability. He is able to make all of the throws and has a very good ability to throw on the run. I’m excited to see him in his senior year.
Alex Walker – NW Cabarrus – Completing his 3rd year as the starting QB for the Trojans, Walker has continued to get better and better with each passing year. He is a 2024 prospect who stands at 6’1 and 190 pounds. I really like his dual-threat ability and his toughness – watching him up close during the playoffs he kept his team calm and led them to a nice comeback victory against a tough defensive team. He throws the ball with very good accuracy and touch, and can definitely help a school on the next level I believe.
