San Pedro

[player_tooltip player_id='214119' first='Cristian' last='Pando'], RB, Wilcox '23: It feels like I've frequently been talking about Pando, but it's well earned. Unanimous decision on the San Pedro POY as Pando was an absolute nightmare to gamplan against. Definitely one of the most dominating players in 2A we've seen in a while and will be a good grab for whichever college lands him.

Salt

Jaxon John, ATH, Pima '24: John was an all around playmaker and special teams killer. He played major role in the highly successful season for Pima, and established himself as a true threat everytime he stepped on the field.

Gila

[player_tooltip player_id='115491' first='Norien' last='Banks'], LB, Sequoia Pathway '24: Banks is another super dominant player that excels on both sides of the ball. He was very disruptive on defense, racking up 6 sacks, 26 TFL's, and 87 total tackles with 4 FF. He also did a great job as a ball carrier as he rushed for over 1,100 yards and 10 TD's. Expecting an even bigger year next year in '23.

Gavin Biesterfeld, OL/DL, Gilbert Christian '23: Biesterfeld and Banks both received Co-POY honors, as Biesterfeld had a phenomenal year and put some respect on his name. He was a menace in the backfield, accumulating 12.5 sacks and 18 TFL's on the year. His 6'2" 200lb frame could translate as an OLB at the D3 level, and deserves to see his stock spark up.

San Juan

Shaydin Tsosie, WR/DB, Chinle '23: Tsosie is a multi sport athlete and a standout at eveything he plays up at Chinle. He had himself a solid year and impressed enough to earn that San Juan Region POY award.

Verde

[player_tooltip player_id='115535' first='Andrew' last='Trapp'], WR, Scottsdale Christian '24: Trapp is a dynamic player that holds big play ability everytime he touches the ball. Excellent vision with good COD and lateral burst to stay accelerating at full speed. He proved he can burn defenses in a variety of ways, and could very well be a favorite for the preseason 2A POY heading into 2023.

Agua Fria

Nathan Delgado, ATH, Heritge Academy Laveen '23: Delgado was a "never come off the field" type of player with a great motor that contributed at a high level in all phases of the game. Smart, instinctive, and possesses a raw skillset that earned him the Agua Fria Region POY award.

Hassayampa

Joseph Mccubbin, WR/DB, Tonopah Valley '23: Mccubbin had a huge year, racking up over 1,500 yards receiving with 22 TD's as he took a major leap from his JR. to Sr. season. Explosive off the snap with a nice burst that made himself a mismatch vs man coverage, and was dangerous in space given his top end speed with big play ability.

Little Colorado

[player_tooltip player_id='42942' first='Marcus' last='Oberriter'], QB, Holbrook '23: Oberriter has been a swiss army knife for Holbrook since he was a freshman. Fearless kid with comptitive toughness that had himself not only a great season, but a great career at Holbrook. He threw for 1,857 yards and 20 TD's while racking up 643 yards and 9 TD's on the ground.
