James Schlendorf || DB || 5’11 || 140 || Olympus High School || 2025
Schlendorf is one of the state’s rising stars in the defensive backfield. He’s an interception magnet who can take a pass away at any moment. The sophomore star tracks the ball incredibly well and can make catches that few of the state’s top receivers can make. He covers receivers like a blanket and plays the ball exceptionally well in the air. Schlendorf has long arms that help him bat away passes to prevent big plays. His timing is exceptional when it comes to making plays, and he’s also a strong tackler. Schlendorf is an elite athlete at the corner position who will be locking down receivers for the next two years.
Jaice Tupea || DL || 6’2 || 225 || Bingham Miners High School || 2025
Tupea is an explosive defensive lineman who relishes in wreaking havoc on offensive linemen. He racks up tackles for loss every time he takes the field and does a great job controlling his gap. Tupea has violent and quick hands he uses to disorient offensive linemen. As a pass rusher, he can bench-press offensive linemen into opposing quarterbacks laps to collapse the pocket. Against the run, he does a great job standing up offensive linemen and shedding them when needed to make a play. Tupea is just getting started when it comes to shutting down offenses.
Jeremiah Onwo || OL || 6’0 || 270 || Juan Diego High School || 2025
Onwo is a mauler who loves to hit. The sophomore lineman easily overpowers defenders in the run game. He fires off the snap and delivers a devastating punch to defensive tackles. Onwo does a good job working with his teammates on double teams and obliterates linebackers when he gets to the second level. He never gets pushed backward and does a good job finishing blocks. In pass protection, he has a good anchor, and once he gets his hands on defensive linemen, there’s little he can do. For Onwo to be this strong in just his Sophomore season is remarkable.
Charger Doty || DB || 6’0 || 185 || Bingham Miners High School || 2025
Doty was a playmaker in the Miners defensive backfield all season. The Sophomore possesses elite speed that helps him prevent explosive plays. In addition, he has excellent instincts and does a great job reading quarterbacks eyes. Doty has good hands he uses to deflect passes and, when the opportunities present themselves, take them away. His closing speed in both coverage and when going to make tackles. Doty is a strong tackler who isn’t afraid to throw his body around to make big-time stops. He’s a strong athlete who will continue to make plays on the backend.
