Matt McKea || QB || 6’2 || 190 || Alta High School || 2025
McKea is one of the state’s rising stars at the quarterback position. The sophomore has a cannon for an arm and displays outstanding accuracy on throws over 20 yards. He can pick apart a defense at every level of the field and can fit balls into the tightest of windows. McKea is a great athlete who can escape out of sacks and the pocket to keep plays alive. He isn’t afraid to get hit and stands tall in the pocket even when he knows a defender is about to level him. In addition, he can make off-platform throws and move the chains with his legs if called upon.
Steven Hoskins || WR || 6’4 || 165 || Hillcrest High School || 2025
Hoskins mossed defenders all season long. The 6’4 sophomore is an impressive athlete with long arms and the ability to elevate. He makes excellent adjustments on the ball to come down with tough catches. Defenders could be draped all over him, but Hoskins always seems to find a way to make contested catches. He has strong hands and is a touchdown machine in the red zone. In addition, he has good speed and is tough to tackle in the open field. Most receivers dislike blocking, but Hoskins enjoys bullying defensive backs.
JT White || RB || 5’10 || 180 || Ridgeline High School || 2025
White is a physical back who runs hard every time he touches the rock. The sophomore is fearless between the tackles and can go around or through defenders. White has a strong lower body helping him break out of tackles and drag defenders with him to maximize every possible yard. He makes good decisions on when to bounce runs to the outside or follow his blockers. White has good vision and can change direction at a moment’s notice. He also plays linebacker making him a game-changing player on both sides of the ball.
Chachi Pan || DB || 5’10 || 160 || Herriman High School || 2025
Pan is shutdown corner on the outside of the Mustangs defense. He’s an elite athlete with an excellent feel for the game. Pan can run with some of the state’s top receivers and does a great job watching his man and the ball. He also plays receiver, and it’s easy to see why with his impressive hands serving him well on both sides of the field. Pan does a good job breaking on passes and made more than a few improbable interceptions. In addition, he’s stout against the run where and isn’t afraid to get physical with receivers. Pan doesn’t back down from anyone and will continue to make plays at a high level.
