Rasean Dinkins – Warner Robins
One of the top up and coming defensive backs in Middle Georgia, Dinkins is a true playmaking defender who made a massive impact for a powerhouse program in just his second season. A versatile defender who can play multiple positions in the secondary, the 6-foot-0 170-pounder has a nose for the football and big-time ball skills, reeling in an eye-opening 8 passes in the secondary which led all sophomores in the state of Georgia. He plays thee ball like a receiver and knows how to make a play after the catch as well. He was a turnover machine last year, making it seem like a seasoned veteran. Quarterbacks went his way often, thinking he’s an inexperienced sophomore, but Dinkins made them pay often throughout the season. He appears technically sound, shows good footwork, and has natural playmaking ability. He’s someone you’ll hear more and more about in 2023.
Ahmad Bridges – Therrell
An impressive young defensive back in Atlanta, Bridges is coming off a big sophomore season where he made plays on both offense and defense all season long. He may be a tad on the smaller side, but he’s incredibly quick, tough, and plays bigger than his size. He changes direction well and covers a lot of ground in the secondary. He roams thee back of the field and closes well when the ball if lofted in the air. He basically plays center field, reading the quarterback and reacting quickly as thee play develops. He was incredibly productive as a sophomore last season, intercepting five passes on the season. Bridges made two INTs against Mt. Zion and two more against Towers. He also helped against the run, making 25 total tackles and two TFLs. He may not look like a D1 defensive back at the moment, but he put together a really nice season for someone in year two. He’s one to keep an eye on in Atlanta next season.
Bryan Jones – Lanier County
One of the more underrated two-way players in South Georgia for the 2025 class, Jones showed off his big-time athleticism every time he was on the field last year as a sophomore. He was a reliable receiver on offense, but his natural instincts and ball skills made him someone you didn’t want to throw around last year. He covers a lot of ground in the back end and knows how to make a play on the football. He moves well laterally and shows hands like a receiver in coverage. In the secondary last year, Jones picked off five passes in coverage, making him one of the leading DBs in INTs last year across Georgia. He’s quickly becoming one of thee top overall athletes in thee area and he’ll only get better as he prepares for his junior season over the next nine months. In addition to his outstanding cover skills, he’s also a sure tackle who knows how to create turnovers theree as well, forcing four fumbles on the season.
