Omaha Northwest's [player_tooltip player_id='398254' first='Sheldon' last='Henderson'] is a player that hopped on my radar during the Iowa Western camp in late May. Sheldon displayed nice hands and explosiveness in his release. I also watched Sheldon's break-out game against Omaha South, where he hauled in two passes for 113 yards, a receiving touchdown, and converted a two-point attempt. I liked seeing what he could do after the catch, using his burst to create separation and accelerating toward the endzone. Although Henderson didn't get many chances to make plays with the ball in his hands, the talent and skill are there. There is still some rawness to his game, but some more coaching should help him reach his potential.

Kolton Rasmussen | 2024 | ATH | Boone Central | 5'10" 175 lbs

Let this be my warning to everyone, do NOT sleep on the Boone Central 2024 class. Swiss army knife Kolton Rasmussen is one of several Cardinal juniors to make an impact on varsity this year. Kolton was a solid contributor at the safety position, accumulating 41 tackles and two interceptions on the season. Rasmussen does a great job reading the QBs eyes and getting in position to disrupt the play. On both of his interceptions, Rasmussen did a great job trusting what he saw and made a great play on the ball. Cardinal coaches also found ways to get him the ball on offense with running plays, quick receiver screens to get him in space, and routes coming out of the slot. He produced 105 rushing yards, 131 receiving yards, a rushing touchdown, and two receiving touchdowns on offense. Big offseason coming up for Kolton!

One junior trench warrior to watch is North Star's [player_tooltip player_id='250273' first='Jayden' last='Potter']. Jayden is a bookend left tackle that really started to make his presence known this year. His biggest attributes are his strength, power, size, and how he uses it all at the point of attack. He does a great job overpowering his opponent with his upper body strength, then keeps his legs pumping to drive defenders out of the lanes or to the ground. Potter passes the eye test and has a great grasp on playing his position; an offseason of training should help him lock down the details. Jayden will attend our PRZ Stock Up Showcase on Sunday, so I'm looking forward to how he matches up with other talent.

Cross County's [player_tooltip player_id='250703' first='Izaac' last='Dickey'] has emerged as a tough two-way player for the Cougars. For this article, he sent in his offensive tape, in which he was part of a suffocating run game. Izaac rushed for 846 yards and scored 21 rushing touchdowns. Dickey is a powerful, violent runner that can hammer away at a defense by attacking in between the tackles. He has a strong, muscular build and can generate a lot of power in his lower body to break through contact. He's not just a running back, Dickey is a straight throwback FULL back who loves to get his face into a defender's chest and deliver a devastating block. On defense, Izaac also added 68 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and three fumble recoveries. Great player with a high ceiling!

The Patriots have several bright spots on their young, up-and-coming roster. One of them is RB [player_tooltip player_id='250254' first='Nolan' last='Feller'], who did a great job in his first season as RB1. Feller ran the ball 137 times for 764 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. Nolan is a very shifty back that sees the field very well. He can change direction on a dime and is very slippery when he runs with his quick feet helping him weave through tackles. Nolan is not a big back, but he does a great job maintaining his pad level and can absorb hits to stay on his feet. I'm excited to see what the offseason and next season will bring for Nolan.
