His instinctual rush style allows him to play faster than his 40 time and affects the pass rush at a high level. Roberts also does a great job of maintaining the intensity of every rep. This persistence wears on opposing linemen and allows him to take advantage of the big guys when they're tired of chasing him around and may be his biggest asset as a defender. These second-effort sacks and chase-downs are momentum shifters that come on timely occasions. When he does get to the passer, he's highly effective with the strip sack. Roberts shows great timing when poking the ball and can also be disruptive with deflections. His rare blend of size, strength, and speed allows him to create problems inside or on edge. Beaman displayed grown-man strength throughout the season with elite bull rushes, wins against double teams, and simply moving opposing linemen off the spot. This was also shown whenever he got a clean shot on ball carriers, where he was ultra-explosive on contact. Though he's a bruiser, Beaman possesses elite quick twitch for someone his size. His ability to stop and start, explode on the snap, and close the distance in open-field situations is impressive. Beaman also uses this explosion to clog passing lanes and convert impressive interceptions. With elite nuance, he made plays consistently. With one of the best hands in the state, Avery's ability to keep himself clean with chops, clubs, and rips is top-tier and kept offensive linemen grabbing dust for most of the season. This in addition to his substantial burst off the line of scrimmage, puts opposing linemen on their heels. Though Avery's skill level is elite, he also shows a hot motor and frequently collects second-effort/chase-down sacks. Avery is another defensive lineman many slept on through the season but the film and production is that of an elite player. As a superb athlete with quick twitch and acceleration was a matchup nightmare for an opposing lineman. Dixon Has one of the nastiest stutter steps in the country and has left guys blocking air on the way to the quarterback. His fluidity and ability to change directions create a moving target most linemen at this level can't handle. Though he's an explosive athlete off the line of scrimmage, Dixon has a lot of power in his wiry frame and dominated despite taking on double teams, which speaks to his overall athleticism. When finishing plays, Dixon shows dynamic closing speed and protects the perimeter consistently.
