<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Over the next few weeks, we will be breaking down Oregon's top athletes by position for the 2024 class. Have a look at the state's top DB's. The overall rankings with the Top 150 is referenced here</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong> </strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/oregon/rankings/2024-rankings/">https://prepredzone.com/oregon/rankings/2024-rankings/</a>  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>*Individuals will only be listed on one side of the ball. Per usual rankings are based on who projects highest at the collegiate level </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>1.[player_tooltip player_id='152355' first='AJ' last='Noland'] 6-2 180 Tualatin- Maybe&nbsp;the best overall player in Oregon, not just as a DB. Noland earned 1<sup>st</sup>&nbsp;team offense, defense, and special teams' honors, in the state's toughest conference. Expect him to hold a handful of division 1 offers before he is done.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2.[player_tooltip player_id='152344' first='Hunter' last='Haines'] 6-2 185 West Linn-&nbsp;Hunter earned unanimous 1<sup>st</sup>&nbsp;team All TRL accolades from his DB spot, possessing legit closing speed and other intangibles you can't teach. He comes from a talented family as the brother of former POY and current Oregon State RB Gavin Haines.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>3.[player_tooltip player_id='152334' first='Jace' last='Burton'] 5-11 160 Jesuit-&nbsp;For the second straight season Burton played lights out, earning 1<sup>st</sup>&nbsp;team all-league honors on both sides of the football. Separate from his ability to lock you up on D, he was one of the top receivers in Oregon, catching 31 passes for 555 yards and 6 TDs on the season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>4.[player_tooltip player_id='511299' first='Roman' last='Martin'] 6-2 180 Tigard <strong>OFFERS: Pittsburgh</strong> Easily one of the NW's fastest rising prospects. Martin is a very versatile 6-2, racking up 2<sup>nd</sup> team all TRL honors from his CB position and honorable mention accolades at WR. He could be a top overall recruit by seasons end. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>5.[player_tooltip player_id='93057' first='Nikko' last='Klemm'] 5-11 165 Sheldon <strong>OFFERS:</strong> <strong>Oregon, Hawaii, Florida A&amp;M </strong>The offers speak for themselves. Klemm had 4 INTs on the season as the Irish had one of their best teams in school history. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>6.[player_tooltip player_id='520433' first='Elias' last='Johnson'] 6-3 160 Jesuit-&nbsp;Johnson had a breakout junior season, racking up 2<sup>nd</sup>&nbsp;team all-Metro honors, while finishing among the conference leaders in INTs. He could climb this list quickly with continued progression as he is a talented DB with size.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>7.[player_tooltip player_id='153309' first='Jackson' last='L Babbitt'] 6-2 180 Springfield- One of the fastest rising prospects in Oregon. Babbitt had 7 takeaways, with 4 INTS, and 3 non offensive TDs, earning 1<sup>st</sup> team all-league honors. Expect him to be a 5A POY candidate.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>8.[player_tooltip player_id='383829' first='Pierce' last='Walker'] 5-10 175 North Salem- Super impressive kid. One of the top two-way threats in the state of Oregon. Look for him to project as more of a Safety, showing off elite closing speed.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>9.[player_tooltip player_id='152351' first='Jaylan' last='Moore'] 5-9 160 Sherwood- The 3* recruit had an outstanding junior season earning 1<sup>st</sup> team all-league accolades. This will be a big off season where he can prove himself against regional and national competition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>10.[player_tooltip player_id='511301' first='Evan' last='Morris'] 6-3 175 Sherwood- Morris has great size with a stock that is rising quickly. He earned 2<sup>nd</sup> team all Pacific Conference accolades on D, with the potential of being a top 5 prospect at his position when all is said and done. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>11.[player_tooltip player_id='152348' first='King' last='Luafutu'] 5-11 190 (SS) Century- When all is said and done one of the top defenders to ever come out of Century HS. He averaged 6+ tackles per game with 5 tackles for loss playing LB, while projecting as more of a strong safety IMO. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>12.[player_tooltip player_id='278392' first='Trevor' last='O'leary'] 6-0 185 Glencoe- O'leary had an unreal year offensively, earning 2<sup>nd</sup> team all-league honors at QB, while rushing for over 1000+ yards and 8 TDs. That said as he projects on D where he earned all-conference accolades as a sophomore. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>13.[player_tooltip player_id='511790' first='Gage' last='Hurych'] 6-1 180 West Linn- One of the top 10 kicker/punters in America. Hurych is just a talented overall athlete, earning honorable mention TRL honors at CB as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>14.[player_tooltip player_id='520401' first='Sentori' last='Martino'] 6-0 180 Barlow- Martino returns as one of the more versatile kids in the Mt Hood, racking up 2<sup>nd</sup> team all-conference honors on D. He has the potential of being a 1<sup>st</sup> team selection on offense &amp; as a return man next season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>15.[player_tooltip player_id='511791' first='Bo' last='Dickson'] 5-11 165 West Linn- Another super talented kid who will project as a 1<sup>st</sup> team all TRL DB next season for the #1 ranked Lions. He was an honorable mention selection as a junior. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>15.[player_tooltip player_id='486002' first='DeShawn' last='Gilliam'] 6-1 170 South Albany- Gilliam projects as one of the top 5A players in the state next season, returning multiple kicks for TDs and looking like a 1<sup>st</sup>&nbsp;team all-conference athlete.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
