DJ is 5'11 and weighs 195. He has had visits to Michigan and Toledo. He runs really hard and has great speed to separate in the open field. He is patient to the hole and bursts to daylight. He is twitchy and makes defenders miss. He can hit the edge fast and sprint. He is tough to tackle and runs behind his pads. Blocks and catches well out of the backfield. He plays both Tackle and DE with his hair on fire. His film jumps out from the start. At Tackle he is quick and athletic. He runs off the ball and violently punches defenders and drives them off the ball aggressively. He punches up and through with a good wide base and keeps his feet moving until the whistle. He is a great at doubles and times up the get off well to the LB. He runs his feet well and covers up defenders on outside run well. His pass blocking will continue to get better the older he gets. At DL he wreaks havoc in the backfield. He maintains his gaps, has a violent lockout, moves well in the stunt game, and rushes the passer relentlessly. He plays DB/WR and kick returner. He is the kind of player you ALWAYS kick away from. Had multiple TD's on specs this past season. He is a great receiver. His get off is quick and he closes space and blows by defenders quickly. He is a great route runner and gets open in the voids and understands spacing. His hands are soft and he keeps his eyes on the ball. He catches everything and can score from anywhere. He takes pride in blocking and finishes through the whistle. At DB he is an awesome CB. He is very quick in his breaks and patient in his reads. He stays on top of the deep routes and stays in phase. Plays the ball through the hands and makes good interceptions when opportunity knocks. He tackles like an All State LB and plays with great aggression. The ball explodes off his foot and he has great hang time on them. At WR he runs a variety of routes well. He has good speed and athleticism with good snap back on the top end. He catches everything and is twitchy enough to jump or go to the ground to make the catch. He attacks the high balls and keeps the defenders off him. He can be utilized in the run game with jet sweeps and screens. He blocks well and finishes. He never comes off the field. His special teams play is exceptional as a returner and punt blocker. Other teams should kick away at all times and need to account for him in the blocking scheme on punt. At DB he is one of the best ones I have evaluated. He is very good at both Zone and Man coverage. He didn't give up a TD in man coverage this year. In zone he is patient in his backpedals and transitions quickly once the route declares. He plays through the hands and had 11 PBU's this year. He picked off 2 passes and locked down some of the best receivers in the state. On offense is an explosive RB with great speed, twitch, and breakaway ability. He bursts to daylight and runs behind his pads. He is a tough tackle and does a great job making defenders miss. He is a good zone runner and is patient.
