Austin Cumpton | 6’1 225 | Athlete | Class of 2023
Cumpton is a physical runner, he has strong compact build and set the tone for the Bearcats offense from the kickoff. Austin is a angry runner, he has good quickness in the hole and breaks tackles with ease. Cumpton rushed for 155 yards and 4 touchdowns to help the Bearcats capture a state title. Defensively, Austin plays the linebacker position with controlled aggression and lays the wood. He uses great technique and tackles well in the open field. While he hasn’t committed to his college of choice, Cumpton has received offers from several in state schools who have seen his playmaking ability.
Hez Parker | 5’10 200 | OL/LB | Class of 2023
Parker had the biggest defensive play of the game. From his linebacker position, he stepped in front of a Refugio pass and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown. Hez used his quickness to get in position when he dropped into coverage and made a play on the ball showing good speed in taking the interception in for six. Parker plays on a Hawley offensive line that lead the way on the ground and through the air for the Bearcats. The Hawley offense put up 457 total yards in the 54-28 victory. Parker’s versatility was on display all game.

Ramon was the best athlete on the field. His athleticism, speed and versatility were on display from throughout the contest. When he lines up at wideout, he gets separation at the line easily and uses his large frame and length to get free from defenders routinely. In the open field, Ramon shows the ability to be explosive, he eats up defenses with yards after the catch and has the speed to take it the distance from anywhere on the football field. In the title game Ramon had 6 catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns.
