2025 5'11 177 ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='218618' first='Blake' last='Woodby'] - St. Frances Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='218618' first='Blake' last='Woodby'] proved this year that he's one of the top overall players in Maryland's 2025 class, regardless of position. Woodby served as a utility player for the Panthers on both offense and defense this Fall, and he absolutely thrived on both sides of the football. His speed and explosiveness are on full display each and every time he touches the ball, and his vision and decision making are both very developed and mature especially for his age. Woodby locked down opposing receivers all season long as well, and he demonstrated his extremely high football IQ. He has an elite understanding of offenses and offensive schemes, and he uses that knowledge wisely on both offense and defense. There aren't many things that Blake “Bobble” Woodby cannot do on the football field, and he's absolutely one of the most exciting young recruits coming out of the 2025 class in Maryland.

2024 6'0 190 DB - [player_tooltip player_id='172217' first='Edrees' last='Farooq'] - St. Frances Academy

2022 was a breakout season for [player_tooltip player_id='172217' first='Edrees' last='Farooq']. He put forth spectacular performances in every game this Fall, and he demonstrated that he's fully prepared for football at the next level. He terrorized opposing offenses with his ability to create turnovers, and he tormented opposing pass catchers especially with his prowess in coverage. St. Frances faced top tier competition throughout the year, and Farooq did not take his foot off of the gas pedal once. He gives 100% effort every single play, and he's in premier position to dominate yet again in 2023. [player_tooltip player_id='172217' first='Edrees' last='Farooq'] is an elite defensive back with a very high ceiling, and he should be recruited very seriously. He already possesses power five conference offers from Wake Forest, Oklahoma, Ohio state, Michigan State, and others.

2024 6'0 215 LB - [player_tooltip player_id='172219' first='Simeon' last='Coleman'] - St. Frances Academy

If you're looking for an outstanding linebacker with ridiculous closing speed for his size then look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='172219' first='Simeon' last='Coleman'] of St. Frances Academy. Coleman is a 3 star recruit, and, in my opinion, he's deserving of 4 stars after the dominant season he just posted. When you watch Coleman play his quickness really stands out, and he uses it extremely well to create turnovers on big tackles. [player_tooltip player_id='172219' first='Simeon' last='Coleman'] is one of the best tackling and turnover creating linebackers in the entire DMV, and there's no doubt in my mind that he will continue to wreak havoc on defenses in 2023. Scouts everywhere must know the name [player_tooltip player_id='172219' first='Simeon' last='Coleman']. He's a next level talent with a ton of potential at the linebacker position.

2023 5'7 175 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='247276' first='Dawon' last='Dorsey'] - Calvert Hall

The 1st Team All-MIAA running back, [player_tooltip player_id='247276' first='Dawon' last='Dorsey'], played spectacularly well this season, and he ran with power and passion on every single carry. Dorsey ran for more than 500 yards and a handful of touchdowns this Fall. He always dominated in the open field during his high school career, and his yards after contact never ceased to amaze each and every game. Dorsey was as reliable a running back as you can ask for during his tenure at Calvert Hall, and he most definitely deserves a chance at the division I level. Dorsey is set to graduate this Spring, and his presence in the backfield will be missed greatly by the entire Calvert Hall program. [player_tooltip player_id='247276' first='Dawon' last='Dorsey'] played one of his best seasons this year, and his overall football ability must not go overlooked at the next level.

2024 5'8 160 WR - [player_tooltip player_id='260870' first='Oliver' last='Redd Jr'] - Calvert Hall

[player_tooltip player_id='260870' first='Oliver' last='Redd Jr'] was an extremely consistent pass catcher this year for Calvert Hall, and he averaged nearly 10 yards per reception. He accumulated more than 300 yards receiving in 2022, and he also added three touchdown scores. [player_tooltip player_id='260870' first='Oliver' last='Redd Jr']'s speed really separates him from a lot of the receivers in the MIAA, and that's why he's extremely dangerous with the ball after the catch. Redd Jr scored a crucial touchdown for the Cardinals in the Turkey Bowl against Loyola, and his jet-burners for legs were on full display during that highlight reel play. [player_tooltip player_id='260870' first='Oliver' last='Redd Jr'] is a very exciting receiver who's in a great position to take on a much greater role as a pass catcher for Calvert Hall next Fall. The future is bright for Calvert Hall with Redd Jr in their receiving corps.
