Braeden Covan
Braeden Covan
The most talented young man in his craft in the Palmetto State, Braeden Covan earns FAB 50 honors for his prowess at long snapper. His snap time is a remarkable .72 seconds from 14 yards away and can deliver the ball with brilliant accuracy. Not sold yet? Just watch this video of Covan nailing a tiny bottle cap with his long snap. Impressive.Covan recently earned offers from Erskine and Allen University after completing his senior season.
The James Island Trojans enjoyed a spectacular season in 2022 en route to the 4A Lower State semifinals, and punter Coleman Franzone played a monster role. Franzone was crucial in helping the Trojans flip field position time and time again, averaging 44.5 yards per punt. He was money in the postseason, nailing five punts inside the 20 with an average of over 47 yards per attempt. Franzone earned national notoriety by winning the 2022 Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp punting competition this past summer. He’ll look to cap off a tremendous high school career in 2023 with the Trojans and should be a highly touted punting prospect going forward.
Jack Weil
Jack Weil
It was a memorable senior season for the stellar Bengal kicker. Jack Weil put on a show with his outstanding leg, making an extraordinary three game winning kicks over the 2022 season. He showcased some exceptional range in the kicking game (including a 63-yard field goal during practice) while also impressing as a punter in competitions on the national stage. A confident and skilled special teams standout with the clutch factor to make the big kicks, Weil solidified himself as the best at his position in the state of South Carolina.
