6A Wide Receivers To Know In Semi-Finals

Let's take a look...</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jaden Barnes - Langston Hughes</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the breakout prospects in the playoffs so far, Barnes is having a magical end to his high school season, proving to be a dependable receiver for star quarterback Air Noland and the powerful Langston Hughes offense. He's been as productive as it gets the last few weeks, catching 12 passes for 368 yards and four touchdowns. He's been just too explosive and fast for North Forsyth and Woodward Academy defenses and could see plenty of other passes come his way against Rome this weekend. He's more than a speedster, though. He's a vertical threat, he's great after the catch, and shows impressive ball skills as well. He's a game-changing wideout and could have a big game Friday in possibly his final high school games. On the season, Barnes has caught 32 passes for 968 yards and 14 touchdowns.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Chris Elko - Roswell</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most consistent receivers in North Fulton and the entire metro-Atlanta area this year, Elko has been a reliable playmaker all season long for QB KJ Smith and the Hornets offense. He has a strong, lengthy frame with impressive ball skills at 6-foot-1 185-pounds. He's a big target, can make plays after the catch, and has improved more and more as the season went along. The playmaking senior has caught 42 passes this year for 813 yards and nine touchdowns so far with a massive sim-finals game coming against Gainesville on Friday night. The Hornets have one of thee best rushing attacks left in the playoffs, but when the ball is in the air, look for it to go Elko's way pretty often. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DK Daniel - Rome</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top 2024 wide receivers in North Georgia, Daniels has been tough to stop all season and could see his recruitment take off as soon as the season ends. At 6-foot-0 180-pounds, the playmaking junior is an explosive route-runner who can line up in a number of different positions. He can play on the outside, in the slot, or in the backfield. As long as he has the ball in his hands, he's going to make plays. He shows quick feet, the ability to create separation, and has some of the best ball skills you'll find in the area. He plays bigger than his size and was extremely productive as a junior for the Wolves this season, catching 70 passes this year for 974 yards and six touchdowns while adding another rushing touchdowns. He's a big-play threat on any particular play and should see the ball often against Langston Hughes on the semi-finals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='327202' first='Darius' last='Cannon'] - Gaineesville</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the breakout wide receivers in 6A this season, Cannon was the perfect fit for the Gainesville offense this year and was a reliable option on the outside all season long. One of the better route-runners in the area, Cannon shows great feet, changes directions well, and knows how to get open on his own. He can separate from defenders, make them miss after the catch, and look for the end-zone whenever he has the ball. He has great hands, he's a vertical threat, and knows how to come up with a big catch down thee field. There's a lot to like about his game and he'll be a tough matchup for thee Roswell secondary this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
