The game I will be covering is the final game which was The Duncanville Panthers vs The North Shore Mustangs. These two have been consistently meeting at state for a couple of years now this could be a new-age rivalry, especially between Houston and Dallas.
It was a back-and-forth game Duncanville scored the 1st two touchdowns then North Shore answered back by scoring three. By the end of the 1st half, Duncanville scored again tying the game at 21-21 by halftime. It was hard fought battle by both teams especially on the defensive side once Duncanville scored again North Shore couldn't get past Duncanville's defense. Therefore, the final score of the game was 28-21 making The Duncanville Panthers The 2022 6A Division I State Champions. Both teams fought extremely hard and in this article, I'll be breaking down The North Shore Mustangs' offensive standouts.

#34 [player_tooltip player_id='131823' first='Rashaad' last='Johnson'] RB Sr 5'9 215 lbs

Let's talk about the big power-back [player_tooltip player_id='131823' first='Rashaad' last='Johnson']. Lacking in their passing game because of starting quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='277754' first='Kaleb' last='Bailey']'s ankle injury Rashaad has continuously leveled up every single game. Rashaad is electric with the ball breaking tons of tackles with great speed. Rashaad throughout this season was able to break major records and has become one of the top 5 running backs at North Shore high school. Rashaad is a top college prospect and has decided to commit to Central Arkansas University.

#28 D'andre Hardeman Jr RB So

D'andre Hardeman Jr is another standout running back on North Shore's roster. D'andre's standout trait is his speed almost as fast as [player_tooltip player_id='131823' first='Rashaad' last='Johnson']. When D'andre ran the ball he managed the get past Duncanville's dominant defense and rack up a lot of yards. D'andre is a great athlete and has major shoes to fill with this being Rashaad's last high school football game. If D'andre bulks up more in the next two years he'll become one of the top running backs in the state.

#2 Christopher Barnes WR Jr 5'9 165 lbs

Christopher Barnes is an outstanding wide receiver. With North Shore's offense being run-heavy there aren't many opportunities for Christopher to strut his skills. However, Christopher's speed speaks for itself even with the small number of times he had the ball in his hands Christopher didn't disappoint. Christoper is also tenacious and tough as he breaks tackles and fights for every single yard he could get. Christopher has three colleges and universities offers from; Texas A&M Commerce, Prairie View A&M University, and the University of the Incarnate Word. Christopher's stats were one touchdown.

#8 David Amador QB, WR Sr 6'0 180 lbs

David Amador started as a wide receiver but is now the starting quarterback since the previous quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='277754' first='Kaleb' last='Bailey'] went out with a knee injury. David has been performing well especially leading his team to the state championships this year. David has a good throwing arm, but his main strength is his mobility and speed which he obtained from playing as a wide receiver. David overall is tough and durable which came in handy because this was a physical game for David continuously taking big hits, but continuously got back up each time and got ready for the next play. Rashaad is a top college prospect and has decided to commit to The University of Texas San Antonio. David's stats were three rushing touchdowns and one touchdown pass.
