Isaiah Rollins Isaiah Rollins 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Cathedral | 2025 State IN – Cathedral – WR – 6’0″ 160lbs – 2025
Rollins had one of the best overall days out of everyone there. He tested well, he passed the eye test, and more importantly checks a ton of boxes. He is currenlty a bit light, but he’s a fantastic athlete who is just a little raw. He’s got fantastic explosion and can make some sharp cuts. He’s got a fantastic plant leg and can win outside releases with a simple swipe and go. He was able to go up and high point a few balls and is able to adjust in the air. The amount of stud WRs that Cathedral has is nuts and Rollins could very well be the next star from there. He reminds me of someone who can develop into an elite route runner who could be a focal point of an offense down the road.

Griffin Simpson Griffin Simpson 6'3" | 170 lbs | DB Brownsburg | 2024 State IN – Brownsburg – DB – 6’3″ 170lbs – 2024
When I first saw Simpson I thought he was a WR. So much so that I asked him if he was and if I needed to update my sheets. The answer was no and I’m glad it was. His incredibly lengthy frame gives him a ton of room. He’s got great closing speed and that was on display a few times Saturday. He was able to keep his guy in phase and made a play on the ball. His arms give him a much longer radius than most DBs and he uses it to his advantage. At his height, I was a bit worried about how well he would bend or how flexible he is. It wasn’t an issue at all and he looked better as the day went on. I think he started to get a really good feel for what was going on and when he took his reps he stayed sound with his feet and didn’t grab the receiver when he crossed his face. He stayed with it and trusted his game and made the play. A handful of great reps late in the 1 on 1’s really sealed his performance for me.

Jayden Buchanan Jayden Buchanan 5'7" | 150 lbs | QB Roncalli | 2025 State IN – Roncalli – QB – 5’7″ 140lbs – 2025
Jayden just kills me. I mean that with as much positivity as there can be. He’s always working out, on a football field, or attending some camp. So much so that I’ve began to joke with Jayden that he needs to play some Xbox and give Dad a weekend off from training. My favorite part is how all the training translates to the field and regardless of what field he steps on, he can sling it and looks good doing so. He was dialed in Saturday and kept dealing with drops. He had 1 ball that would have got stuck in the face-mask had their been one but it was dropped. I told him next time he should just hit them in the face with the ball. Well, quite literally on his next rep his WR ran an out route. Buchanan, as he always does, throws with anticipation and accurately. His WR came out of his break, turned for the ball, put his hands up, and the ball literally hit him in the face. Another drop, but I didn’t think Jayden would take me so literally. Another stellar showing from one of Indiana’s best young QBs.

Lloyd “Tre” Brown III – Brownsburg – WR – 6’3″ 180lbs – 2024
Brown is another fantastic athlete who had a great day. His frame is legit and he carries it well. He’s got a decent 40, I don’t remember the exact time but it was one of the quicker ones of the day as well. He is a thicker frame receiver who is fantastic at contested catches and could be dominant in the red zone. He’s able to high point balls and bring them down over defenders. He doesn’t have a full route tree yet, but he runs a nasty slant that was unguardable anytime he ran it. He’s a possession WR who you can trust to get open, make tough catches, and play the sticks to move the chains. His speed allows him to be a deep threat as well. An overall fantastic recruit who really boosted his stock with his performance. Sometimes, just meeting someone and putting a face to a name and seeing how they carry themselves can make all the difference and that’s the case here. Brown is someone who should be on every radar for next year because he can help arguably any offense long-term.

Westyn Weyrich Westyn Weyrich 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Plainfield | 2025 State IN – Plainfield – RB – 6’0″ 180lbs – 2025
Weyrich is someone who came in quietly and had a good day, but I won’t let him go quietly. All day he was one of the more consistent RBs. Whether it was a good 40 time or the INDY drills he was a smooth operator with the athletiscm you’re looking for. For his age, he’s got a nice frame and you can tell he works hard in the gym. The definiton is ahead of schedule for someone his age and it’s only helped his game. He’s able to be a physical back and lower his shoulders to churn out some tough yards, yet he’s still athletic enough to make a guy miss and hit the open field. He’s got soft hands and is able to guid the ball in before he looks to make a move. His history of playing WR is likely a huge help here. If he’s able to develop in pass protection, just because every young recruit is raw, by the time he graduates he could be one of the better RBs in the state and have his choice of where he ends up. A fantastic showing from a young recruit who is now on the radar, map, and rankings because of his performance on Saturday. An overall complete back with a fantastic frame and still an underclassman. Big things are in store for Weyrich and his future at Plainfield over the next 2 seasons.

Carter Magerski Carter Magerski 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Marian Catholic | 2024 IL – Marian Catholic (Ill) – QB – 6’1″ 190bs – 2024
Magerski is a former Indiana recruit who transferred to Illinois and I was happy to see him come to the Indiana showcase. He’s a fantastic athlete who had a great day. I spoke with him for a few minutes before the showcase and we talked about his transition and just how different things were for him this year. We talked about his adjustment and he admittedly struggled at first with it all. But, he stuck with it and overcame and that’s what you love to see. A young man moved away from his friends and having to start over at a new school in a new state for recruitment can be daunting. He came through it better, on the field and off the field. He’s able to handle more adversity than ever before. He’s humble and is incredibly coach-able. He’s got a good arm and is able to make some fantastic throws on the move with it as well. He’s a QB who can drop his arm level and throw around a guy if he needs to. Saturday he was hitting guys in stride and working with them pre-snap to know how they were going to run their route. He’s a big running threat you have to keep your eyes on as well and his 40 time backed that up as well. Heading into next season, now fully adjusted to the move and knowing what to expect, Magerski is going to be in pretty good shape.
