Kalama transferred from Wasatch to Skyridge and took his game to the next level. He was a yards after the catch monster for the Falcons. Kalama is an elite athlete who makes defenders look silly in the open field. The shifty receiver has incredible body control and agility, allowing him to break tackle after tackle. In addition, he also does an excellent job tip-toeing the sideline to stay in bounds. Kalama runs crisp routes and has good hands that help him beat defenses at every field level. Skyridge would not have won the state championship without his big plays.

Veleti was a touchdown machine for the Red Devils. In just 10 games, he scored 24 touchdowns and rushed for 1,679 yards. His combination of speed and strength made him tough for defenses to stop. Veleti was asked to move the chains repeatedly for Springville and always responded. He’s a relentless runner who fights for every yard. Veleti carried the ball well over 20 times in numerous games, but he never seems to wear down. His vision is outstanding, and he knows just when to bounce a run to the outside. Valeti is well poised to repeat as the state leader in rushing touchdowns.

Vaka was a two-way starter for the Stallion and stood out on both sides of the ball. The 350-pound lineman was a one-man wrecking crew to opposing offenses. He lined up at nose tackle and as a 3/4 defensive end, getting pressure on both the inside and outside. Vaka’s ability to stand up double teams is remarkable. He keeps his pad level low and fights for every inch against offensive linemen. As a pass rusher, Vaka shows good bend for his size and has the power to go through offensive linemen. He always goes hard despite taking nearly every snap.

Mailei is a physical linebacker who loves to hit. He creates turnovers at will with his hard hits and quick hands. In addition, he does a great job ripping balls out and plugging holes. Mailei is a force to be reckoned with in the run game. He blows up blockers and creates tackles for loss. Mailei does a great job locating balls and never misses a tackle. He’s an elite athlete with sideline-to-sideline quickness. Mailei can play on or off-ball linebacker. His speed off the edge is impressive, and his motor never quits. Mailei also plays offense, making him a game-changer regardless of position.
