SueSue is one of the state’s most dynamic signal callers. He led West in passing yards, rushing yards, and total touchdowns. He’s a phenomenal athlete at the quarterback position who can burn defenses running inside or outside the tackles. SueSue has quick feet allowing him to take ankles and avoid defenders. The junior quarterback does a great job keeping plays alive and thrives in uncomfortable situations. SueSue displays outstanding accuracy and arm strength. He can deliver tight window throws and keeps the chains moving all games long.

Sudbury is the ultimate weapon for an offense. He had over 585 yards on the ground and over 750 yards through the air. Sudbury is a yards after the catch and contact monster. He runs hard and has phenomenal vision. Sudbury is shifty in the open space and has excellent body control that allows him to stay up. His elite speed helps him separate from defenders when running routes and breaking through holes. Sudbury can line up all over the field and make plays in a multitude of ways. Whenever he gets the ball, he’s capable of scoring six.

Freeman was a monster off the edge for South Summit and led the state in state sacks with a whopping 25. The 5’11 defensive end has a combination of speed and strength that no one in the 1A classification can contain. Freeman obliterates anyone who stands in his way with a devastating bull rush or athletic bend. Against the run, he makes every tackle as the backside defensive end and sets the edge like a wall when the balls run his way. Freeman’s speed allows him to track down the quarterback, and he is relentless on each of his rushes.

Olsen is an elite linebacker when facing the run, especially regarding coverage. He reads quarterbacks’ eyes like a textbook and has the awareness to close on errand throws quickly. Olsen can drop in zone or cover pass catchers man to man. His athleticism allows him to cover ground quickly and make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Olsen’s ability to create turnovers and big plays helped the Titans advance in the postseason. He can always be counted on in the biggest games and will no doubt make more memorable plays in 2023.
