2023 Rankings Top 20: 17-20

He helped the Thunderbirds reach the state championship with one big rushing performance after another. Beckstead has excellent vision and makes hard cuts to evade would-be tacklers. He's a big back but moves like a shifty scat back. Beckstead's long strides help him break off big runs, and he always punishes defenses along the way. He rarely losses yards and often carries defenders with him for extra yards. Wherever he plays next year, Beckstead will continue to devastate defenses. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='406866' first='Ryder' last='Burton'] || QB || 6'2 || 180 || Springville High School || 2023 </strong><br>Burton is an elite quarterback capable of making plays in every which way. He makes off-platform throws look effortless, and his arm strength is impressive. Burton excels when plays break down, and he does a fantastic time buying his receivers time to get open downfield by breaking out of sacks. His accuracy is elite at every level of the field, especially outside the numbers. In addition, his ball placement and poise under pressure are incredible. Burton is also a strong runner and can make defenders miss in the open field. The BYU Cougars are lucky he will staying in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='406867' first='Motekiaia' last='Monunga'] || DL || 6'3 || 250 || Timpview High School || 2023 </strong><br>Monunga is a phenomenal defensive lineman who can wreck a game plan from any position along the front four. His versatility is impressive in not just his ability to play all over the field but in the way, he stops the run and rushes the quarterback.<strong> </strong>Monunga explodes off the snap with relentless effort and tenacious fight. He has quick and violent hands that allow him to win his one-on-one matchups with offensive linemen. In addition, Monunga has one of the state's best push-pull moves, and his ability to win on the inside or outside will be a tremendous asset to whatever team he plays for at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='406870' first='Sione' last='Westover'] || LB || 6'3 || 215 || Skyridge High School || 2023 </strong><br>Westover was a do it all force for the Falcons this past season. He shined, rushing the passer, dropping into coverage, and containing the run. Westover is an exceptional athlete, and when you pair that with his instincts, you have the makings of one of the state's top players. His quickness of the snap allows him to rush with his hand in the dirt or blitz from any gap. Against the run, he does a great job taking on blockers to free up his teammates and often will shed them to make the plays himself. In coverage, he's patient and does a good job containing his zone or checking his man.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
