Watch out for these 2023 RB’s

It is never too early to start looking ahead and seeing players that will be making some big impacts in the upcoming seasons, with that being a focal point of many offenses, the runningback. So, we should dive right into seeing the players that are shipping up to be some of the most elite that South Dakota has and who I will be watching.     [player_tooltip player_id='105505' first='Aiden' last='Barfuss']- 5'11" 195lbs, Winner   Barfuss is looking to continue his overall offensive production that he has been showing this year, and truly become the workhorse that he has shown at times to be. What he brings to the table is someone who can lead the offensive production due to his natural talent to overpower defenders in his way and simply play some hard-nosed style of football. Barfuss is a true runner and someone who can protect the football while doing it, not someone who seldom turns the ball over in any specific aspect. He is an even bigger threat in the red zone, that being someone who can punch in touchdowns any time that he is in the red zone. He has risen up my board of top RBs and I think he will continue to do so as he goes on throughout next year     [player_tooltip player_id='289644' first='Maverick' last='Jones'] - 5'11" 175lns, SF O'Gorman   Jones quickly showed this year that he can both be fast and agile out of the backfield, along with the ability to catch passes at a high level. He is a dual-threat RB and I think that he has some legs up compared to the others with his hands being top-notch, not to mention his shiftiness when he is in the open field. He has the ability to not only fake out defenders with his moves but also overpower them when needed, he has so many tools in his arsenal but he can bring them out at any time. He is someone I would look to see leading South Dakota in total touchdowns next year, not only with his rushing ability but he can catch some receiving touchdowns like a wideout. Overall, Jones is someone who can shoot up on rankings throughout the year for his ability to score with what seems like at will.     [player_tooltip player_id='174172' first='Destin' last='Glynn'] - 5'11" 190lbs, Rapid City Stevens   Glynn will be someone who will be taking many more snaps next year, and I think we will see him become an even better player than the flashes of talent that he has shown so far. He is an agile back who has the main talent of being a fast backfield player who can run routes out of it and also break off for big runs while doing it. He will be getting more snaps this year as someone who could be in the lead-back position and I think he shows the rawest talent out of any player on this list due to what his ceiling could be. He has some serious college-level talent since he is a player who can run routes along with being able to burn defenders, something that not many players can do.     [player_tooltip player_id='294140' first='Eli' last='Barger'] - 5'10", Madison   Barger will feast in the Madison offense next year which has shown to be very run heavy, with the play design that Madison likes to run, Barger will be a big piece in the offense next year. Barger will be getting more snaps and more playing time whilst doing many different roles at the time, no matter if that is as a runner or as a blocker. He is truly a utility style of player who can both run the ball very well and provide the utility of blocking to set up run options along with overall great pass blocking. No matter what role he will be in, I think he will rise up on boards across many different scouts and has the most tools in his arsenal compared to others.
