Ubly vs. Whiteford Prospects to Watch

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The D8 Championship game is often overlooked by news sites, but not this one. Today, I did my best to research some of the game-changers for both programs! I'm sure to see many more standouts come Friday, but for now, here are four prospects I'll have my eye on for Ubly vs. Whiteford! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>ATH | Evan Peruski | Ubly</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is the heart and soul of this Ubly team. He had four rushing touchdowns, 2 INTs (one went for 6 a few weeks ago against Fowler, and has been a force all season. He's a prospect I've never even heard of, but there's plenty of praise to go around from the local media. I expect big things from this two-way player in the finals, and I can't wait to see what he can do at Ford Field. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LB | Aiden Mackowiak | Ubly</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was difficult to research Ubly, but Makcowiak is a name that kept popping up. He's a real good linebacker who hits hard. On top of that, he serves as the defensive signal-caller. It's obvious that Aiden is one of the leaders of the Ubly defense, and I'm excited to see what he can do this weekend! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DB/LB/QB | Shea Ruddy | Whiteford</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I say DB/LB because, well, Whiteford's opponents almost never pass. Being a key outside contain man, Ruddy is a sound tackler that always gets low. His ability to intercept the ball carrier and deliver a clean hit is extremely important in D8. In addition, Shea plays quite a bit of QB, as he's a shifty dual-threat able to run and pass when he needs to. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DB | Ryin Ruddy | Whiteford</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Ruddy bros are going to be the focal points for Whiteford. Ryin, like Shea, is a sound tackler with good athleticism. He has a few highlights at DB, where he's seen playing really good man coverage. This shows that Whiteford can defend the pass well and that both of the Ruddy's are critical pieces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
