The Woodlands Highlanders Round 2 Playoffs

It is Round 2 for Playoffs in Texas and on November 18th, 2022 The Woodlands Highlanders played against The Klein Cain Hurricanes. Based on both teams' successes throughout the season I was expecting a competitive football game, but Woodlands gained momentum early on by scoring 3 touchdowns in the 1st quarter and Klein Cain couldn't keep up with them after that. The final score of the game was 62-21 with Woodlands advancing to the 3rd round going up against The Duncanville Panthers next week. In this article, I'll be discussing The Woodlands Highlanders' offensive standouts.   #0 Quanell Farrakhan Jr WR So 6'2 180 lbs   Quanell Farrakhan Jr has the #0 for a reason the man is a straight dog. Quanell is only a sophomore he is one of the fastest and quickest wide receivers I have seen in a while. Because of this Quanell overwhelmed any cornerback that lined up in front of him they were not able to keep up with Quanell's speed. Quanell was also the punt returner and early on in the 1st quarter Quanell outran everyone on Klein Cain's defense and ran for a 60-yard punt return touchdown. Quanell is already a top college prospect having numerous college and university offers from; the University of Tennessee, Texas Southern University, University of Mississippi, University of Houston, University of Georgia, and Southern Methodist University. Quanell's stats was a 60-yard punt return touchdown.   #1 Arkez Gomez WR, RB 6'0 200 lbs   Arkez Gomez is a solid running back. Arkez is a fast, flexible, athletic runner that can avoid almost any obstacle from any opposing defense. Arkez would leap over any defender aiming low for ankles or knees and dash through with break-neck speeds down the field. Arkez is also a bigger running back making it more difficult to bring him down. Arkez is a college prospect currently having two colleges and universities offers from; the University of Western Kentucky and the University of Incarnate Word. Arkez's stats were a 36-yard rushing touchdown.   #4 Branson McShaffry WR Sr 5'10   Branson McShaffry is a valuable offensive weapon for The Woodlands Highlanders. Branson is a fast athlete being able to line up as both running back & wide receiver. Being a double threat Branson was able to overwhelm The Klein Cain's defense throughout the whole game. Branson was able to outpace defenders at either position especially being a receiver running downfield and being completely open for passes. Branson's stats was a 33-yard reception touchdown.    #7 [player_tooltip player_id='146594' first='Mabrey' last='Mettauer'] QB Jr 6'6 225 lbs   Woodlands High School has a great offensive secondary and with quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='146594' first='Mabrey' last='Mettauer'] he can utilize all of them almost perfectly. Mabrey has textbook form and technique with a great arm, but not only that he is quick and decisive under pressure. Mabrey can avoid tackles, scramble well, and wasn't afraid to run the ball. Mabrey in his junior year is a top college prospect having numerous college and university offers from; the University of Louisiana Monroe, the University Of Colorado, the University of Mississippi, the University of Kansas, the University of Texas Tech, and the University of Florida to name a couple. Mabrey's stats were 2 touchdown passes and ran in one touchdown himself.
