Here is a look at some the top players and prospects who helped make that possible.

McKey won an offseason battle against two other top flight QBs who could have started for the Cadets or pretty much any other team in the area. A tireless work on his skills, McKey responded by throwing for 1,914 yards ( 65% completion rate) and 23 touchdowns vs only 5 interceptions in helping the Cadets win back-to-back championships. He should very good leadership skills along the way, and a great understanding of the offense and job putting the ball on the money where it was needed. An accurate passer who limits mistakes and can make all the throws.

[player_tooltip player_id='285143' first='Jason' last='Wiley'] - 2025
Wiley transferred to CBC from De Smet for his sophomore year and was more then capable of running the Cadets high powered show. He proved that with his strong contribution when called on to lead the offense. He had a nice season throwing for 810 yards on 45 of 78 passing for 12 touchdowns and only 2 picks on the year. The athletic playmaker does a nice job keeping plays alive with his feet and seeing downfield to find open receivers and hitting them using his strong arm. Another tireless worker to improve his skills, look for another offseason battle for the starting job between Wiley and McKey for the starting role in 2023.

The speedy senior running back and Notre Dame commit is possibly the top overall athlete in the state. He's put up monster numbers in offseason testing at combines and camps to prove his elite caliber athleticism, and that translated to the football field very well in 2022 as Love led his Cadets in rushing with 1,291 yards on 140 carries for 22, and also made big plays catching the ball on 13 receptions for 370 yards and 5 touchdowns for a whopping 28.2 yards per catch average. Jeremiyah is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball with his 4.4 forty speed. He can blows up angles and make it extremely tough for defenders to touch him in open space. Once he gets behind defenses I have never seen him caught. He also ran the ball hard between the tackles and being a more physical runner, and has a great ability to bounce it outside and hit that extra gear. Quick feet, great vision and soft hands as a receiver. One of the top prospects overall in the 2023 class.

Van was part of a three-headed monster backfield the Cadets were able to use to help wear down opposing defenses. Van was also a strong contributor on last year's championship team like Love. In 2022 he rushed for 884 yards on 132 carries and with 13 touchdowns. Dylan is another physical runner with good quickness who could break it and take it to the house on any given play. Another quick and elusive runner who is a hard worker and team player who makes the most of his opportunities. Van is also a solid receiving option.

[player_tooltip player_id='37738' first='Ralph' last='Dixon'] - 2023
The third head of the three-headed monster in the Cadets 2022 backfield was Dixon, who despite his lack of size played like a much bigger back. He ran for 723 yards and 10 touchdowns and CBC's offense did not miss a beat with him in there. Dixon is another team player who's main goal was helping the Cadets win another state championship.

The big-time junior wide receiver who has almost 30 D1 offers already had a tremendous season for the Cadets both catching the ball for 1,103 yards and 13 touchdowns, and running it (including from the wildcat at QB) for another 330 yards and 4 more scores. The speedy McClellan elevated his game to another level in 2022 after already being one of the receiving talents in the country. He's a great route runner and does a nice job getting separation and finding space. Also one of the top players running after the catch or running with the ball on a hand off. Jeremiah has great hands and will go up for the ball to catch at it's highest point or lay out for it. He's also physical and a good blocker. If that were not enough he contributed 14 tackles and 4 sacks on defense, punts the ball, and averaged almost 30 yards per kick return. Complete player.

[player_tooltip player_id='179185' first='Corey' last='Simms'] - 2025
Simms had a break out sophomore year for the Cadets catching 32 passes for 446 yards and 4 touchdowns. The 6'2" WR has big time speed and athleticism and will continue to get better over the next two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='99471' first='Dakotah' last='Mayo'] - 2023
Another speedy receiver that made them so dangerous and difficult to defend. Mayo had 6 touchdown grabs on 24 receptions and 361 yards for his senior season in winning his second state championship.

Offensive Line

[player_tooltip player_id='171840' first='Josh' last='Gregory'] - 2023

The 6'7" OT and current Cincinnati verbal commit had a monster senior season in leading the offensive line in 2022. The long-armed and athletic Gregory is equally proficient as both a run and pass blocker, and has a high ceiling still to reach on the next level. I suspect D1 schools will continue to try and pull him away from the Bearcats.

[player_tooltip player_id='126244' first='Bryce' last='Parson'] - 2024
Parson has started on varsity since he was a freshman but has really done a great job getting himself in the best physical shape and improving his skills to elevate himself among offensive line prospects. He has great size and quick feet. Does a great job with his pass pro and run blocking. Look for him to pull some D1 offers in the off season.

The senior defensive lineman and Northwestern commit finished up a terrific high school career by winning another state championship, and leading his defensive line with great leadership and play. Gant is an extremely smart young man to go with his big time physical attributes and helped lead the way with 57 tackles and 3 sacks while consistently facing double teams as offenses knew that had to pay special attention to him. He's very quick off the ball and has great get off and technique. He's trained a lot and his skills show it.

This Missouri State commit uses his superior speed to fly to the ball and make plays. Michael led the Cadets with 102 total tackles and also had 5 sacks. Teason really upped his play in the playoffs and put up big numbers. He has a nose for the ball and the athleticism to get there in a hurry. He also is capable of covering backs and tight ends well. He's a name you'll hear on the next level if he continues to progress.

[player_tooltip player_id='103437' first='Kyan' last='Franklin'] - 2023
The big thumper in the middle and sideline-to-sideline finished up a very good high school career with an outstanding senior season in which he had 94 tackles, 3 sacks and a fumble recovery. Franklin is a big hitter with good technique, and size at 6'3" 230 , who can run and does a great job reading plays before they happen. Some college is gonna get a good one.

[player_tooltip player_id='37698' first='Wyatt' last='Haverstick'] -2023
Another physical Cadet linebacker who loves to hit and excels at rushing the quarterback. Haverstick is lightning quick off the edge and and disrupts plays. He led CBC defenders in sacks with 9 on the season and also contributed 47 tackles as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='237184' first='Lucas' last='McAllister'] -2023

This playmaking Safety finishes off a stellar career in fine fashion with another state championship. Lucas is equally good playing against the run or in pass coverage and will make you pay if you have the ball or are throwing it. Does a nice job covering a lot of ground and closely quickly. He had 70 total tackles, 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery in his senior year.
