Pierre was one of the most impressive teams that we have seen in the history of South Dakota Football and that was in no part due to their all-time great offense. With [player_tooltip player_id='56570' first='Lincoln' last='Kienholz'] leaving after this season, he truly put an exclamation point on top of year a stellar QB career in South Dakota and will go down as one of the best players that South Dakota has seen. He was not the only player that showed so much talent on the field with also played along with many college-ready players on his team, and with them winning the Championship, they will look to get ready and compete next year in AA. So let's take a look at some key losses from their team and who will be looking to step up for Pierre, and lead them back to the success that they have achieved in the past years.

The most obvious loss that they will have on the offense is the aforementioned Kienholz and his high level of QB play that he brought out every single night along with his elite rushing attack. But he was not the only cog in this machine that was so efficient, an arguably bigger piece that they will be losing is their star OLineman in [player_tooltip player_id='101165' first='Jason' last='Maciejczak'], His blocking was a big part of the offensive line that was so great at both running the ball and being elite at pass blocking. [player_tooltip player_id='223096' first='Jack' last='Merkwan'] will be the other big piece that they will be losing and not having him with his size and physicality to beat up on DBs and be a high-octane passing offense. [player_tooltip player_id='289598' first='Jett' last='Zabel'] will be back next year and he is someone that is one of the top prospects I have circled on my list, he is an elite blocking Tight End, along with being basically a wideout, he is someone that will be critical for the offense because of the output that he can produce on the field. [player_tooltip player_id='305547' first='Cade' last='Kaiser'] will be stepping into a bigger role next year, no matter what he does, he will without a doubt see some more snaps on the field, it will be interesting to see what his production will look like. Defense-wise, it will be mostly a different look with most of their defensive players being seniors and they will have some Juniors step into a lot bigger roles. [player_tooltip player_id='276833' first='Gavin' last='Stotts'] and [player_tooltip player_id='276834' first='Jayden' last='Wiebe'] will be big losses for the defense for the leadership on the field with the talent that they showed every week and outside where they were leaders in the locker room, Pierre will not only be losing some tough talent on the field and also will be looking for leadership to form. [player_tooltip player_id='289595' first='Trey' last='Lewis'] is the top name next year to watch on the team and that is due to what he has shown so far. They have some unproven talent on the field, there will be some breakout players next year.

Overall, they will be losing some talent that will be hard to fill in but with what they have shown in the past with their elite coaching, they will win with what they have and they will always make it work.
