Here are some Williamsburg players who stood out in this one:
Weisskopf is one of the state’s premier athletes, regardless of class. He’s committed to Iowa for football but could compete in basketball or track at the next level. He showed off his incredible athleticism with an early circus touchdown catch in this game, high-pointing a ball above multiple defenders in the end zone. It represented his 11th scoring grab of the campaign. He added another one later in the game, finishing with 8 catches for 164 yards and those two scores. He produced 4.0 tackles for loss coming into this contest. He’s likely a linebacker in college.
Carson Huedepohl
Carson Huedepohl
Huedepohl runs the Raiders show as a dual-threat quarterback. He produced 17 passing touchdowns against just five interceptions to go with 15 rushing scores coming into the semifinals. You can see his athleticism behind center that projects to multiple options at the next level. He played running back before switching to signal caller. He could end up in the slot or on the secondary if he chooses college ball.
Rayce Heitman
Rayce Heitman
You’ll be hearing more about Heitman the next few years. He shows excellent potential as a versatile performer who could develop into a prospect on either side of the ball. He came up with a wonderful reception on a deep ball early in this game and also showed a promising skill set as a defender. Coming to Cedar Falls, he caught nine passes for 151 yards and a touchdown, and rushed 10 times for 95 yards and a pair of scores. Defensively, he racked up a team-high 76.0 tackles (64.0 solo, 7.0 for loss) with a sack and a half.
Gavin Doehrmann
Gavin Doehrmann
Doehrmann disrupts offenses with a well-rounded skill set and a high motor. He arrived in the semifinals with a team-best 7.0 sacks and tackles for loss (9.0). He comes off the ball, utilizes his hands and detaches well from blocks.
Trenton Davies
Trenton Davies
Davies oozes potential and will be fun to watch develop the next two seasons. He’s disruptive in the middle of the defensive line with a nice array of moves with power. He features nice athleticism for a bigger guy. He competes impressively on the offensive line as well with good hands, drive and leverage.
