Here’s a look at players who stood out for Carlisle:
Jes Krcil
Jes Krcil
Krcil punishes people with his physical running style, he projects as a defender on the next level, however. He runs well, sideline to sideline, and shows a good aptitude for diagnosing plays. He racked up an impressive 103.0 tackles before the semifinals with 15.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. He added 1,453 yards and 20 touchdowns rushing.
Jack Laughlin
Jack Laughlin
Laughlin looks a lot like Kcril in stature and skill set. He rushed for 1,324 yards and 23 touchdowns before the semifinals. He added 51.0 tackles (38.0 solo, 5.0 for loss). Defense would be his side of the ball in college, perhaps as a hybrid safety-linebacker.
The Wildcats rushed for a ton of yards this season in large part because their offensive line pushed people around. Glover was among the leaders in muscling defenders onto their heels. He’s strong and plays with excellent leverage. He could help a smaller school on the inside.
Highlights
Justin Bagley
Justin Bagley
Like Glover, Bagley lacks prototypical height for an offensive lineman. Also like Glover, he makes up for it by being technically sound and playing with good leverage. He moves well for a larger guy and could help as a guard or center on the next level.
Nolan Pagel
Nolan Pagel
Pagel is another Wildcat who falls short of cookie-cutter size for his position but compensates for it with a great motor and understanding of the game. Like his teammates, he plays with strong leverage and comes off the ball with a nice surge. Small schools could benefit from developing a guy with a good starter kit.
