(8-2) Sherwood @ West Linn (9-1) WL -39.5

The Bowmen played well last week, but were also able to take advantage of the weather, against a pass heavy South Salem group. Expect [player_tooltip player_id='110171' first='Sam' last='Leavitt'] and West Linn to keep their foot on the gas this week and pass the ball often. Leavitt went for over 100 yards on the ground in round 1, but won't have to do that this Friday. #3 Jesuit beat Sherwood 42-0 in week 4, just to put this game into perspective.

(9-1) Central Catholic @ Jesuit (9-1) JES -1

The defending state champs have proven me wrong multiple times over the years, so it's important to give credit where it's due. That said as Jesuit is senior heavy with maybe the NW's top line, and an impressive 6-4 200 pound back in [player_tooltip player_id='205822' first='Payton' last='Roth'], who hasn't been stopped yet. CC is young but capable of winning the title again, especially with 2x Conference Player of the Year [player_tooltip player_id='152354' first='Cru' last='Newman'] taking the snaps. Give me Jesuit by a field goal or less.

(7-3) Lake Oswego @ Sheldon (10-0) SHEL -35

Coach Steve Coury is as good as they come, and sophomore QB [player_tooltip player_id='285866' first='Liam' last='Davis'] played out of his mind, hitting on 20 of 23 passes for 287 yards and 3 TDs, in horrendous conditions. The 28-13 win over a much-improved North Medford team provides some momentum, but this Lakers team is youthful. The Irish have been dominant on every front, while only allowing an unreal 25 points in 9 games (5 shutouts), not counting their 35-31 win over West Linn. It's going to be tough for LO to say the least.

(9-1) Mountainside @ Tualatin (8-2) TUAL -2

Coach John Mannion has done a phenomenal job and has a lot to look forward to, with one of the fastest rising programs in the state. The 31-0 win over a good Nelson team last week spoke volumes, but Tualatin is battle tested playing in the TRL, and for a 6A state title last year. Expect this game to come down to line play, with the Mavericks featuring one of the top O Lines in Oregon. The T-Wolves are loaded on the perimeter but if MHS can control the clock with the run it will be interesting.
