MONTICELLO-- It might be now the 2022 offseason for these Becker Bulldogs, but holy moly they did not go down without an immense fight against the Rocori Spartans in this Section 4A final (check out my Game Recap from yesterday). We found from our evaluation notes from Friday night, another seven Big Dogs of the Game coming from the Becker Bulldogs. We released these as it should be known: Becker was actually where I got the "Big Dogs" name from back in 2018 for my now fifth season with Prep Redzone Minnesota, as they were the first ever game I scouted. Without further ado, meet the Big Dogs from Becker last Friday night!

[player_tooltip player_id='242402' first='Kyan' last='Blomquist'], WR/TE, Becker (2024) Twitter & Tape

Kyan contributed to one of a handful of Becker Bulldogs touchdowns on Friday night and with his route-running in front of my eyes on his touchdown, I could get a good evaluation of his game. I was impressed with his bursty release for his 6'3 size on the outside, as he showed good intangibles throughout his route. His ability to quickly be creative and adjust his route on the fly out of the stop, and use his change of direction to great use to find himself in the end zone, is what zoned me into naming him one of my Big Dogs of the Game for the Becker Bulldogs. Kyan certainly should be added to our 2024 rankings in the near future.

[player_tooltip player_id='176851' first='Alex' last='Weiss'], WR, Becker (2023) Twitter & Tape

On one of the last drives of his high school career, Becker 2023 WR [player_tooltip player_id='176851' first='Alex' last='Weiss'] really made those last two plays count in my eyes. He started it off with an impressive high-top catch on the far outside of the field in which Alex used his competitive vertical balance to not only make the catch inbounds, but the awareness to keep his feet positioned swiftly as that 32-yard reception from QB [player_tooltip player_id='112084' first='Ryan' last='Bengtson'] really showed how much athleticism this young man has to bring out to the next level. He finished it off with another key short touchdown reception to give the Bulldogs a chance very late in the 4th quarter. I always say with the seniors, it is not how you start, it is how you finish, and watching Alex's last two receptions of his Becker Bulldogs career he certainly finished with giving the Bulldogs passing offense all he had to give. I really would love to see this young man play on Saturdays due to the athleticism he brings with his pass-catching ability. He would be a great small-school steal out of the Class of 2023.

[player_tooltip player_id='309223' first='Harrison' last='Kent'], LB/RB, Becker (2023) Twitter & Tape

Wherever Harrison lines up in the Bulldog's linebacking core, you can almost guarantee he is going to get to the ball as he has such a sizeable motor that can carry him sideline from sideline. He consistently has shown off some feisty hands with his grip from his section tape and could control the tempo with his engagement level of the defender he went up against versus Rocori. I also was impressed with how much growth Harrison has gauged since watching him this summer at the Winona State prospect camp in his pass coverage as he had those glue-like instincts on a few reps I caught that forced the Rocori passing game to not target the 6'2 200 pound linebacker. He also brings great physicality to every tackle he makes in the open field. Harrison is another 2023 from Becker I cannot wait to find out where he ends up next year, as he has college football written all over his game tapes. No offers surprisingly at the moment for Harrison.

[player_tooltip player_id='112084' first='Ryan' last='Bengtson'], QB, Becker (2023) Twitter & Tape

Ryan is another prospect from the Becker Bulldogs I have watched grow a ton since watching him for now two-plus seasons. The plethora of throws he makes has shown a ton of promise as he throws the football with a lot more rhythm and touch than you would expect out of a 5'10 160-pound QB. His arm strength shows some competitive sound and he does a sound job with his precision throws especially on intermediate routes giving his WR a lead to catch his ball on the run. Ryan also showed significant amounts of grit in last Friday's game against Rocori. Ryan's football IQ keeps rising and his ability to get it done with his legs showed off a lot more finesse than from previous games I have watched from him in recent seasons. He shows a very quick release on his throws inside the 10-yard mark as just watching the QB duel on Friday night with all the arm strength going around between Ryan and Rocori QB [player_tooltip player_id='295821' first='Jack' last='Spanier'], this might have been the best live showing I have seen in a while throwing the rock amongst opposing quarterbacks. Based on our conversation after the game, it sure sounds like Ryan will be playing some Division III football in 2023, but as far as where that is, you will have to find out in the near future where that is in Minnesota he is taking his talents to!

[player_tooltip player_id='318069' first='Logan' last='Eisele'], SB/RB, Becker (2023) Twitter & Tape

Logan showed off glimpses of Friday night of how much first contact he can eat up and with his senior tape, he shows that off very consistently as an arm tackler on this 6'0 195 pounds back that will not cut for the defense. Logan shows immense vision in his runs coming from the outside as he has the agile-cutting ability to be well aware of where the defense is coming from in the open field. I also came away quite impressed with Logan's skillsets with his blocking technique as he opened up the run game for his QB1 by his pad-level hitting strongly from his angle-blocking ability to engage his defender far off the path of the ball in where his QB was looking to run and opened up some big runs from Becker QB [player_tooltip player_id='112084' first='Ryan' last='Bengtson'] last Friday night. With Logan, you get a kid that will fight for every single yard he can get and that should open up more opportunities at the Division II level as we close out the 2022 season in the coming weeks.

More Big Dogs of the Game from Becker:

Julias Hendricks, DB/WR, Becker (2023)

Adam Jurek, RB/LB, Becker (2023)
