CLT Christian @ Prov. Day – Championship – Offensive Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Providence Day defeated Charlotte Christian 55-13 in the NCISAA Division 1 State Championship Game this past Friday night, let's take a look at the offensive standouts. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Providence Day - QB [player_tooltip player_id='91362' first='Jadyn' last='Davis'] - The very talented 2024 Quarterback - Ranked #1 in his class in the nation - had a championship game performance with 6 touchdown passes on the night. He was the brightest star when the lights were brightest, throwing in rhythm, off-platform, short passes, deep balls, on all types of routes all night long. He displayed arm strength when he needed it, and touch when it called for it. An amazing talent as a young man. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Providence Day - RB [player_tooltip player_id='104090' first='Chris' last='Peal'] - The Georgia commit did work on both sides of the ball, however offensively he had a couple of touchdown runs and helped keep balance in the Chargers game plan all night. On the next level Peal probably projects more on the defensive side of things, but he showed off his athleticism with the rock in his hands all night long. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Charlotte Christian - RB LJ Porter - This freshman also played on both sides of the ball, however, he scored the first Knights touchdown of the game, playing in an H-Back role. He has incredible talent and will be a future name to watch in the city of Charlotte for sure. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Providence Day - TE Liam Groulx - Groulx does a little bit of everything for the Chargers, and his blocking ability was big in the running game that the Chargers leaned on a little bit more than usual in this championship game. Groulx also caught a couple of big passes over the middle to keep the chains moving early in the game while things were still in doubt. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Providence Day - OL [player_tooltip player_id='222669' first='Joshua' last='Holl'] - The big senior OL was named a captain for the championship game, and did a great job all night coming off the football in the run game and had excellent pass protection for Davis to have his great passing performance.
