Khyair Spain Khyair Spain 5'9" | 195 lbs | RB Parkview | 2024 State GA – Parkview
One of the breakout running backs in Gwinnett County and across the 2024 class, Spain is a tackle-breaking back who has had his way with opposing defenses all season long. He’s tough, physical, and has some breakaway speed as well. Leading Parkview to a 6-3 season so far, Spain has rushed for at least 100 yards in every game this season but one. His average of193 yards per game was outstanding and one of the best averages for any back in the 2024 class. In total, Spain rushed 193 times for 1,736 yards and 13 touchdowns. He’s someone who can carry an offense and he did that often this fall with rushing games of 267 yards, 194 yards, 191 yards, and 300 yards. He can absolutely play at the next level and proved it this season as a junior.
Jemarion Whatley – Hiram
A consistent runner all season who had no problem finding the end-zone, Whatley scored a touchdown in every game but one this season. One of the breakout running backs in West Georgia, Whatley gave the Hornets a dependable rushing attack all season, leading them to a respectable 5-5 record so far. Averaging 112 yards a game, Whatley proved to be one of the top backs in the region and showed thee ability to play somewhere at the next level. He rushed just 82 times this year, but averaged an incredible 13.7 yards per carry for 1,122 yards total on the season. He rushed for over 100 yards in five games this season and his 15 touchdowns made him one of the most productive backs in the 2024 class around the goal-line.
Telly Johnson – Hephzibah
One of the top overall backs in the Augusta area, Johnson has been a touchdown machine of late and has been running harder and harder as the season moves along. He’s a bruising back who can bowl over weaker defenders and someone who consistently keeps the chains moving. At 6-foot-0 215-pounds, he’s a bowling ball who just grinds out runs. He’s almost unstoppable for any defense in the region to slow him down around the goal-line as he’s rumbled for 18 total touchdowns on the season with six coming in the last two games. For the season, Johnson has rushed128 times for 1,004 yards for an average of 7.8 yards per carry and over 110 yards per game. He’s shown he’s one of the more underrated backs across East Georgia this season.
Mason Sullens – Lumpkin County
A tough, physical runner in North Georgia, the Lumpkin County back has been a reliable, dependable runner all season long and one of the more productive backs in the area this fall as a junior. The 6-foot-0 195-pounder has rushed 169 times so far this season for 928 yards and 15 touchdowns. He finds the end-zone often and has scored a touchdown in every game but one this season. He’s been productive all season and has averaged over 100 yards a game as a junior. His best game this year came against Gilmer where he rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns. He also had big games where he rushed for 153 yards, 121 yards, and 113 yards.
