Just as we seen last week the second round of the Texas High school playoffs had some high flying, slobber knocking match ups all across the state. Round two didn't have many surprises on the scoreboard but the athletes listed below did a great job improving their recruiting stock and helped their team advance to the next round of the 6A playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='131870' first='Isaiah' last='Ybarra'] - Katy High - Class of 2023

Isaiah is a 6'3 275 pound offensive linemen out of Katy high that had a huge person in round two and played a huge overall role in their run games success this fall. This week I was impressed with how he did a great job of coming off of the ball with pad level along with his ability to maintain and sustaining his blocks at the point of attack. He showed great feet, good redirection skills, and good posture and patience in pass protection. He recently picked up a full ride scholarship offer from Adams State and will need to show up big again this week to keep their state championship hopes alive.

[player_tooltip player_id='131814' first='Jackson' last='Arnold'] - Denton Guyer - Class of 2023

Jackson is a 6'3 195 pound dynamic Oklahoma Quarterback commit out of Denton Texas that has put on a show in the playoffs so far. In round two he went off and put his pocket presence and arm strength on full display. He was patient under pressure and delivered some absolute dimes.

His deep ball throw was impressive and he did an excellent job of using his cadence to control the pass rush. The dynamic field general will need to play big again this week as his squad takes on a talented team in [player_tooltip player_id='1420652' first='Byron' last='Nelson'] high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='1146666' first='Sean' last='Hutton'] - Lewisville High - Class of 2025

Sean has been an upgrade and great physical presence for the Farmers offensive line this fall. In round two he did a great job of creating lanes for his running back and running his feet through contact. He did a great job of getting knock ‘em back on his defender all night and helped his squad grind out an easy win. He will need to continue to play well as they face a tough Keller defensive front.

Everett Champlin - The Woodlands - Class of 2024

Everett is a stout 6'4 280 pound offensive line prospect that has done a great job in the run game this fall. Since seeing him on tape at the SMU camp he has added visible mass to his frame and it has helped him with his ability to knock guys off of the ball at the point of attack. He will be interesting to watch as his squad faces off against Duncanville High and their star studded defensive front led by All American [player_tooltip player_id='270019' first='Colin' last='Simmons'] in the next round.
