Orem Tigers
The Tigers faced the Alta Hawks in a high-stakes postseason showdown. Both teams scored big upset wins to reach this point. For Orem, they knocked off Bountiful on the road while Alta went into Sprinville’s house and emerged victorious. It was a back-and-forth first half with a narrow 21-17 lead for Orem. The third quarter was a defensive grudge match, with the only points scored by the Tiger’s defense, who came up with a safety to increase their lead. The Hawks would find the endzone with just over seven minutes to go in the third 24-23. Orem quarterback Lance Reynolds would lead the Tigers into field goal range, where kicker Kaue Akana Kaue Akana 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Skyridge | 2026 State UT would score a 32-yard field goal for the 26-24 win.
Stansbury Stallions
Olympus was the second-highest remaining seed in the 5A playoffs and, thanks to a big-time upset against Brighton, earned the right to face the Stallions. The 21-seeded Titans battled Stansbury hard early, exiting the first quarter tied with them at seven. But you can only keep Stallion quarterback Ezra Harris and the highest-scoring offense in the state in check for so long. Stansbury would score 14 points in the second and 21 in the third to help them beat the Titans 42-7. Receiver Trent Jones hauled two touchdowns to enable the Stallion’s offense to score more than 40 points this year for the tenth time. Defensive back Alex Geovjian grabbed two pics to help Stansbury shut out Olympus.
Timpview Thunderbirds
Timpview scored 28 points in each of the first two quarters to jump out to an insurmountable halftime lead against the Wasps. Thunderbirds quarterback Helaman Casuga Helaman Casuga QB Corner Canyon | 2026 State UT threw for over 350 yards and four touchdowns to help his team win 63-21. Wasatch upset Woods Cross and Spanish Fork on the road to reach the quarterfinals but struggled to stop and score on one of the top teams in 5A. Three different Thunderbirds added an interception, while defensive lineman Siale Esera Siale Esera 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL Timpview | 2023 State UT added a sack to help the Tigers limit the Waps to just one touchdown in the first three quarters.
Lehi Pioneers
Lehi found themselves in a battle with the Box Elder Bees. The Pioneers had just seven points in the first half as they trailed the Bees 8-7. Lehi would score the first touchdown of the third, but Box elder would score the next two to give them a 21-14 lead midway through the fourth quarter. Trailing for just the third time in the fourth quarter all season, the Pioneers responded with two touchdowns in the final two minutes to give them the monumental 28-21 win. Running back Carson Gonzalez scored three touchdowns as he and the Lehi offensive line got it done on the ground all game long. Linebacker Chanse Miller had 12 tackles to lead all defenders.
